第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面短文, 根据所给情节进行续写, 使之构成一个完整的故事。
When I was fifteen years old, my parents signed me up for a wilderness survival training camp. At first, I was extremely reluctant to go. To me, leaving the cozy environment of home and venturing into the wild, which was filled with uncertainties and challenges, was nothing but a form of torture. However, my parents were so insistent that I had no choice but to embark on this journey.
Upon arriving at the training camp, I felt even more like backing out when I saw the unfamiliar peers around me and the strict coaches. The first day's training task was to search for the designated supplies in the mountain forest and then set up simple tents for us to sleep in at night. I clumsily followed everyone's lead, but mistakes kept popping up. Sometimes I would lose my way while looking for the supplies, and other times I accidentally broke the poles when trying to put up the tent. I felt like a total failure and was overwhelmed with frustration.
I stood there, staring blankly at the half-built tent and the scattered poles, feeling a sense of helplessness welling up inside me. The other campers seemed to be getting along just fine, chatting and laughing as they completed their tasks smoothly. In contrast, I was in such a mess, and it made me feel even more out of place and discouraged. I couldn't help but think that maybe I just wasn't cut out for this kind of activity and that I would never be able to fit in or succeed here.

5、 优秀范文
Just as I was on the verge of giving up and going to the coach to beg to go home, a boy who looked even smaller and thinner than me walked over with a friendly smile on his face. His eyes were bright and full of warmth, as if carrying an invisible power that could dispel the gloomy clouds hanging over my heart. He said gently, "Don't worry. Everyone makes mistakes at first. Let's do it together." His voice was soft yet firm, like a gentle breeze in the still air of my despair, and his words were like a warm ray of sunshine in the cold, gradually melting the ice of self-doubt and frustration within me.
He carefully studied the instruction manual while guiding me on what to do step by step. Every now and then, he would look up at me, explaining in detail how to insert the poles into the right slots and secure them firmly. When I fumbled with the ropes, not knowing how to tie the knots properly, he patiently demonstrated the correct way again and again, his hands moving deftly, showing me each movement slowly until I got the hang of it. With his patient help, we finally managed to set up the tent properly. And it was then that I realized that I shouldn't give up easily. This small success was like a spark that reignited the fire of my confidence, giving me new courage to face the following challenges in the camp.
