Read, understand and act out comic strip about Eddie and Hobo, and interpret the exact meaning of DIY; 3.Learn how to name different tools used in DIY jobs, and recommend tools for different DIY jobs; 4.Listen to Millie and Suzy’s dialogue, answer questions and imitate one with me or your partner; 5.Explore the reasons why we do DIY jobs and get interested in trying DIY jobs. 教学重难点 教学重点: 1. To understand the comic strip and get interested in DIY topic, and get to use “had better”. 2. 2. To get detailed information from Millie and Suzy’s dialogue, answer questions and imitate one with me or your partner. 教学难点: 1. To pronounce new expressions like decorate, scissors and exactly correctly; 2. To further probe the positive meaning of DIY. 教学过程 Step Ⅰ Lead in 1. Self introduction Hello everyone! I’m Jamie, and I love DIY jobs. Look at my DIY works. There’s a little sheep, Korean costume, and a doughnut. Are they lovely? Do you know What DIY stands for? Step Ⅱ Present comic strip 1. Now, let’s welcome our old friends Eddie and Hobo. Watch the pictures, answer and predict: 1  What do they get? 2  Guess who may finish the DIY job? And why? 2. Listen and find out: 1  What job is it? 2  What should they do first? 3  What else should they do? 3. We are going to record a new audio for the comic strip. Can you help me finish recording it? 4.
