She is crazy about Chinese culture. 1.Lisa is my daughter’s good friend.She will come to China as an exchange student next month.She is crazy about Chinese culture,especially amazing Chinese characters. 2.Let’s play a game with Lisa. Lisa Canada Add a part to the character青 and make it a new character. Can we form new words in English this way? Let’s follow Lisa’s steps. Step Two: Lead in (definition) Task 1 1. Let’s form words together. luck -lucky -luckily - unlucky - unluckily happy- unhappy- happily- happiness- unhappily 2. suffix A suffix is a letter or a group of letters that we add to the end of a word to form a new word. prefix A prefix is a letter or a group of letters that we add to the front of a word to form a new word. 3. Show more suffixes and prefixes Pay attention to the positions we put them to the words. 【Activity 1】 A competition.(Who’s today’s word expert?) Choose different affixes to form new words in one minute! Work in groups.Who form most words correctly will win today’s word experts. Today we will mainly focus on the suffix -ly.
