To describe the steps using first, then, next and at last; 2. To obtain the key information while listening; 教学难点: To express their own opinions towards DIY food and takeaways. 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Watch the video about the girl Addison. 2. Introduce the girl and the cooking course. Step 2 Learn with me: how to make a fruit salad 1. Teach the new words and phrases about materials for a fruit salad; 2. Listen and choose what is needed for a fruit salad(A1); 3. Read the steps and put them in the correct order(A2); 4. Retell the steps with “first, then, next, and as last”; 5. Talk about the tips for making a fruit salad to teach some new words; 6. Listen and complete the tips for making a fruit salad(A3); (1) Before listening, read and predict. (2) While listening, write down the first one or two letters. (3) After listening, finish and check your answers. 7. Ask and answer about the tips; 8. Complete the recipe for a fruit salad. Step 3 Cook for yourself: how to make sandwiches 1. Brainstorm: What materials do we need for sandwiches? 2. Listen and answer: How many steps are there to make sandwiches? 3. Read and answer: What are the steps?(Circle the key words: first, then and next) 4. Complete the steps with first, then, next and at last; 5. Work in pairs and talk about the tips for making sandwiches; 6. Work in groups and complete: (1) Finish the recipe for sandwiches. (2) Make a real sandwich. Step 4 Think further 1. Discuss: (1) Do you enjoy the food you DIY or the takeaways? (2)What are the benefits of DIY? 2. Summary: compare life to DIY. Step 5 Homework 1. Make a recipe for your favourite food; 2.
