(I)Leading in(5 minutes)

1. Show some pictures, such as an apple, two apples, a book, three books, etc., to guide the students to express the quantity in English.

2. Ask the students how to change the change in English, leading to the topic of this lesson —— countable nouns and "there be" sentence patterns.

(2) Explanation of the plural form of countable nouns (10 minutes)

1. Activity 1

Show pictures and related sentences, such as "My sister likes reading books.", "There are two boxes in the boy's hands.", and pay attention to the bold nouns.

Guide the students to observe the single plural form of nouns in the sentence and ask them what rules they can find.

2. Activity 2

Show the form, and let the students complete the single and plural form of the countable nouns in the form.

Explain the rules of the plural:

  一般情况下，在名词词尾加“s”，如“book   books” “desk   desks”。

  以“s, x, ch, sh”结尾的名词，在词尾加“es”，如“box   boxes” “watch   watches”。

  以“辅音字母 + y”结尾的名词，变“y”为“i”，再加“es”，如“city   cities” “baby   babies”。

  以“f/fe”结尾的名词，变“f/fe”为“v”，再加“es”，如“knife   knives” “leaf   leaves”。

  部分不规则名词的复数形式，如“man   men” “woman   women” “child   children” “foot   feet” “tooth   teeth”等。
