I was only three when my mom passed away. After my mom died, my dad started to treat my brothers and me 1 . I was sent away to live with one relative after another but no one would ever want to 2 me for long. I was miserable(痛苦的) almost all of the time. 3 , when I was five, my mom's sister, Aunt Bonnie, and her husband, Uncle Jesse, said that they would take me in and they became my legal guardians(法定监护人).
4 , they became my family. I called Aunt Bonnie Mom and Uncle Jesse Dad. When I was six, Uncle Jesse was 5 and a serious illness was found! And he died shortly after my seventh birthday.
Afterwards, we had to 6 our house and moved to a smaller one in a new town. I spent a lot of time 7 because Mom was always working. One summer, a miracle(奇迹) happened when my mom met a great and funny guy, David. And then they 8 and now I gained two more sisters.
When I look back at it now, I have come a(n) 9 way from being a sad and lonely girl to being the person I am today—part of a big, happy family. I can hardly 10 what my life would have been like if Aunt Bonnie hadn't taken me in with so much 11 . She promised to love me and look after me—no matter what happened—and she has done 12 that. I have learned about strength, dedication(奉献) and love from her. She has been there to hold me when I'm sick, to help me with my study when I was a student, to 13 me when I need her. In return, I love her more than she has 14 known. I strongly believe without her in my life, I would have been a 15 child, but because of her I have a great family and the best mom in the world.
