①Having been extremely stressed out recently(分词短语作状语),Tom decided on jogging to relieve his stress.
This morning,he was jogging in the park as usual.
Though feeling a little dizzy,he made up his mind to finish the last two laps.
Soon,②he felt his knees as weak as rubber, his feet slipped, and he fell over, flat on his back with his legs wide apart.
③Embarrassed and ached,he struggled to get up on one of his knees, but failed.
He had to sit on the ground for a while,④crossing his legs(分词短语作状语).
Minutes later,he seemed to ⑤have got a little refreshed, rose to his feet slowly and dragged his heavy legs back home, worn out.

On an early spring morning ①when the snow hadn’t melted completely(定语从句),my brother and I were having a walk along the country track when a little cat ②lying on the dry straw(分词短语作后置定语) attracted our eyes.
Out of curiosity,③we tiptoed to it slowly.
We thought it would ④spring to its feet and flee away seeing us.
But the cat just struggled to its feet,⑤releasing some weak and painful moans(分词短语作状语).
Approaching closer,we found in surprise that the little cat got seriously injured in one of its legs and was badly in need of medical help.
Not knowing what to do,⑥we planted our feet firmly to the spot for a moment and then decided that we should take it home;otherwise it would die in the cold weather.

The instant Mr Smith announced a poetry contest would be held next week,I ①signed up for it without hesitation.
However, when I set about preparing for it,②my mind went blank, not knowing what to write.
③With my eyebrows knotting together(with复合结构),I walked over to Mr Smith to ask for advice.

“Really?Just write whatever comes into my mind?” I ⑤asked with a confused look.
“Yes,only if you let your imagination fly freely can you write meaningful content,” explained Mr Smith.
When I heard this,⑥ my confusion seemed to disappear.
I went back to the classroom, settled down and began my creation.
