People should help each other out even if they are competing with each other. What’s more, they should compete fairly and treat opponents with respect. The two cyclists made amazing sporting gestures—Navarro for refusing to take advantage of Esteban’s troubles, and Esteban for offering Navarro his medal. This was sportsmanship at its very best.
