Section B 2a-2e 一、学情分析 学生已学过初中一年的英语,有一定的英语基础,一年下来学生们已经掌握了许多动词短语,如 watch TV, go shopping , go swimming , go fishing, play basketball , read a book , play the guitar, play badminton 等短语,且七年级上已经学过一般现在时态 及其第三人称单数的肯定句和特殊疑问句, 还有What-questions?的句型且七年级下册已经学过一般过去时态和 What did you do last weekend?旧知识很充分,且他们对新鲜事物有一种认知欲望,因此根据学生的心理特征,奖励性竞争机制的评价来激发学生的学习积极性,通过利用多媒体展示图片更加直观,通过引导学生参加任务活动来掌握本课的语言目标。 二、语篇研读 What: 本单元的教学内容和教学重点就通过话题“free time activities" 来 展开 一 系 列的 教学活动,学习频度副词always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never.等的细微差别,掌握用“How often”来谈论做事情的频率问题,并就这些问题用次数词+范围如 once a week / twice a week / three times a month 等来进行对话 Why: 通过对本课的学习,能够读懂相关的文章,能够写出“How often you do things 的简单文章。通过学习让学生在学习和生活中养成一些良好的习惯。同时加强学生对图表阅读的做题技巧,提高学生对健康生活的理解和行为习惯的培养,从而有 助于学生积极健康的生活。 How: Section B 2a-2e 中文章的文体为调查报告,主要谈论学生课余活动的频率。不仅分析了调查结果,还对调查中发现的问题提出了建议。该语篇文体结构比较突出,应该引起重视。 三、教学目标 1. Ss will be guided to grasp the new words “result, percent, online, television, although, through, mind, body, such as, together, die”. 2. Ss will be able to recognize the passage type --- survey report, and be aware of the passage structure. 3. Ss will be guided to use “percent” to talk about survey results and use pie charts to deal with information. 四、教学重难点 1.Grasp the new words “ result, percent, online, television, although, through, mind, body, such as, together, die”. 2. Then the teacher show a pie chart about students’ free time activities ,lead students to practice percentages 效果评价 通过问答活动环节了解学生业余生活的一些活动,教师根据学生对问题的回应与反馈,评价教与学的成效。 设计意图 The activities can arouse Ss’ interests in the topic and activate the atmosphere. Step 2 While-reading 师生活动 Activity 1 Read for the main ideas The teacher will guide Ss to number the paragraphs from 1 to 5, and divide them into three parts. Then T will guide Ss to read to the passage and match the main idea with each paragraph. T: Usually a survey report is made up of three parts. Lead Ss to know a survey report can also divide three parts like this: Activity 2 Read for details T will guide Ss to read the passage carefully for some details. retelling survey results according to pie charts and answering some questions. 1.Read Para.1 T: Read Para.1 and. Fill in the chart .Some questions about When was the survey? What was it ? What was it about? Who joined it? 2.Read Para.2.3 and 4 Read Para.2.3.and 4 then fill in the pie charts. 3.Read Para.2.3 and4 again Answer the questions. Q1:What percent of students do not exercise at all? Q2:What percent of students use the Internet every day? Q3:How often do most students watch TV? What do they usually watch? 4.Write according to the pie charts. Finish 2d T: 90% of the students use the Internet every day. That’s to say, 90 % of the students always use the Internet. “4-6 times a week” means “usually”. “1-3 times a week” means “sometimes”. T: You can retell using the sentence pattern “____ percent of the students ________(activity) __________(frequency).” After reading the result part, T will guide Ss to think about the following question. Q: According to the pie charts, do you think the students in No.5 are healthy? Why or why not? 5.Read Para.5 Read Para.5 and answer the questions: 1、 What does the writer think is the best way to relax? Why? 2、 What's the meaning of “Old habits die hard” in Chinese? 3、 What is the writer’s advice (建议)? And The teacher will guide Ss to find out how the writer make his opinion clear to the readers. 效果评价 逐段分析课文,让学生在读课文的过程中找出关键句,完成问题。教师根据学生完成情况,及时给予评价,提供鼓励和引导。 设计意图 Reading activities here are designed to train Ss’ reading skills by skimming and scanning. Survey results are the most difficult, and this is also the part we spend most time on. In this part, Ss first put the texts into pie charts, and then retell and write according to the pie charts. In the question part, there are quite a few questions helping Ss to think about the writing skill of survey reports and whether it’s a good way to relax. Step 3 Post-reading 师生活动 Free talk: Read the three paragraphs, and who is healthy? or unhealthy? And think about the question: How can we keep healthy? 效果评价 通过图片和文段阅读,让学生判断日常行为的健康还是不健康,引导学生养成健康的行为习惯。学生都能明确,教学效果很好。 设计意图 This activity here is designed to help Ss learn how to keep healthy and get good habits .Then keep them up. Step 4 Summary 师生活动 师生一起对本课内容进行总结和复述,让学生宏观上掌握课文,理解调查报告的结构和对数据的朗读。 设计意图 Let students learn to summarise the passage and know about the passage well. At the same time ,Practice speaking English skills. Step 5 Homework 作业要求 After class, it’s good for Ss to improve by: 1.作业本作业:Finish some exercises in this period; 2. 实践性作业 finishing your survey and the pie chart in 2e. 拓展性作业 Homework1 is designed to help students use some useful phrases and use them well.
