“it” is a very useful word in English and can be used in many ways.

Usage 1:it 的最基本用法是作代词,主要指上文提到的事物,以避免重复:

“It” can be used in the subject position to stand for:

1) it用来指代一个具体的事物或前面提到过的事物
2) it用来表示时间、天气、距离、日期等

① it is+adj.+(for/of sb)+to do
用介词for, adj.是用来形容to do这件事 (常见的adj.有important, vital, necessary, essential, normal, easy, difficult, possible...)
用介词of, adj.是用来形容sb (常见的adj.有kind, polite,honest,brave, clever, rude, stupid,silly...)
