VI. Teaching Reflection
In this lesson, I aimed to help students master the present perfect tense and use it to talk about their reading, viewing, and listening experiences. Overall, the lesson went well. Students were actively engaged in various activities and showed great interest in the topic.
One of the strengths of this lesson was the use of pictures and examples to introduce the grammar focus. This helped students understand the concept more easily and made the learning process more enjoyable. The pair work and group activities also provided students with opportunities to practice speaking and listening skills, as well as to share their opinions and experiences.
However, there were also some areas that need improvement. For example, some students still had difficulty distinguishing the present perfect tense from the simple past tense. In future lessons, I will provide more exercises and examples to help them better understand the differences. Also, I need to pay more attention to individual students and provide more personalized feedback to help them improve their language skills.
In conclusion, this lesson was a valuable learning experience for both me and my students. I will continue to explore effective teaching methods and strategies to improve my teaching quality and help students achieve better learning results.
