专题04 阅读理解之新闻报道 (一) (23-24高一上·浙江杭州·期末)Chinese state media has praised a viral video series telling the story of a jade teapot coming to life and escaping from the British Museum to make its way back home. The set of three short episodes, entitled Escape from the British Museum, shows the teapot turning into a young woman in a green dress, who then asks a London-based Chinese journalist to help her reunite with her family. The plot line taps into growing Chinese criticism (批评) of the British Museum after reports last month that more than 1, 500 priceless objects were missing, stolen or damaged. In August the state media Global Times called for the return of Chinese artefacts from the museum “free of charge”. “The huge loophole (漏洞) in the management and safety of cultural objects in the British Museum have led to the falling of a long-standing and widely spread claim that ‘foreign cultural objects are better protected in the British Museum’,” it said. It strongly supported the video series for touching on a “powerful message” about the importance of cultural heritage and reflecting “Chinese people’s eagerness for the return of the Chinese cultural relics”. State broadcaster CCTV also gave the short films a glowing review saying: “We are very pleased to see Chinese young people are passionate about history and tradition. We are also looking forward to the early return of Chinese artefacts that have been displaced overseas.” The museum incident made headlines around the world and revived earlier demands by the Chinese media to restore the country’s relics. The new three-part show has set off a wave of nationalism among viewers, with many praising the creative plot that reduced them to tears by showing how the teapot experienced the happiness of returning to China to see pandas and watch a flag-raising ceremony on Tiananmen Square. “May all the cultural relics abroad return home as soon as possible!” said one of tens of thousands of people who commented on social media sites. 1.What can be learned about Escape from the British Museum? A.It is filmed by the state media. B.It consists of three short episodes. C.It is supported by the British Museum. D.It shows how a green princess makes her way home. 2.What do the underlined words “taps into” mean in the third paragraph? A.Goes against. B.Agrees with. C.Makes use of. D.Brings about. 3.What was the attitude of Global Times toward the video series? A.Disapproving. B.Objective. C.Tolerant. D.Supportive. 4.What is the text mainly about? A.The reputation of Chinese artefacts worldwide. B.The irresponsibility of the British Museum missing a teapot. C.The influence of Chinese state media on the global viewers. D.The popularity of the series about the return of Chinese relics. (二) (23-24高一上·浙江杭州·期末)Thousands of lives have been saved by giving blood-thinning drugs to people with a heart condition that leaves them at risk of a stroke(中风), according to the head of the NHS. Since January 2022 about 460,000 people in England who suffer from atrial fibrillation(AF)- a dangerously irregular heart rate-have begun taking one of four anticoagulant(抗凝血剂) drugs that are proved to reduce stroke risk. Speedy introduction of the drugs has kept 4,000 people alive who would otherwise have died and prevented about 17,000 strokes, according to Amanda Pritchard. Strokes kill about 27,000 people a year in England and lead to about 120,000 being taken to hospital. A drive to encourage take-up of the drugs means 90% of the 1.5 million people in England with AF are using them. That should result in fewer strokes, which are a leading cause of death and disability, given that AF causes about one in five strokes. “The rapid introduction of these drugs is a big step forward in providing the best possible care for patients with heart disease”, Pritchard, the leader of NHS(National Health Service) England, will say in a speech today at the King’s Fund health experts’ yearly conference. The drugs, called direct oral anticoagulants, help stop blood from clotting(凝血), therefore reducing the risk of a clot developing and causing a stroke. In 2021 the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence recommended that doctors use four anticoagulant drugs. Dr Maeva May, the Stroke Association’s director, thought the widespread use of the drugs as “fantastic news”, because AF accounts for one in five strokes and strokes in people with AF are more likely to result in death or serious disability. NHS England has used its spending power to cut deals with the makers of the four drugs, which has made them much more widely available. The British Heart Foundation praised the NHS’s “great progress towards its goal of reducing stroke deaths”. 5.What is the purpose of listing numbers in paragraph 2? A.To attract the readers’ attention to strokes. B.To introduce the specific information about AF. C.To show the effects of four anticoagulant drugs. D.To summarize the steps towards reducing deaths. 6.What is the main function of anticoagulant drugs? A.To identify signs of strokes. B.To reduce blood pressure. C.To keep heart beating. D.To prevent blood clotting. 7.What can be inferred about NHS England and drug makers from the text? A.They have reached some agreements. B.They have provided free treatment. C.They have established disease funds. D.They have reminded of stroke deaths. 8.Which is the best title for the text? A.Recognising Signs of A Heart Attack B.A Breakthrough in Stroke Prevention C.Exploring Kinds of Anticoagulant Drugs D.NHS England’s Life-Saving Conference (三) (23-24高一上·浙江宁波·期末)On April 18—the International Day for Monuments and Sites, China Daily’s digital employee Yuanxi and Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes’ official virtual carto on figure Jiayao together introduced an interactive digital platform that hosts a virtual copy of the Mogao Grottoes’ Library Cave (藏经洞) to the world. The platform was developed jointly by the Dunhuang Academy and the Chinese tech firm Tencent. It uses gaming technologies to show the historical scenes of the Library Cave in the digital world. The Library Cave in Mogao Grottoes was discovered in 1900, with more than 60,000 cultural relics dating from the 4th century to the 11th century unearthed. It was one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the 20th century. On the platform, visitors can role-play and “time travel” to ancient dynasties and talk with eight historical figures. The public can enter the platform through the Digital Dunhuang website and its WeChat mini program. In the digital age, the model of “culture+technology” has been introduced to facilitate the development of Chinese culture. The digitalization rate of China’s precious cultural relics is now over 70 percent, according to the 2022 China Digital Collection Industry Research Report released by iResearch. Institutions such as the Palace Museum have also started online digital services of their own. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology allows the public to view the interior of the buildings through the Palace Museum’s WeChat mini program. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has also encouraged the development and transformation of cultural intellectual property (知识产权) by digital means. China Central Television has created a series of digital collections with different Dunhuang themes, such as the Dunhuang divine deer (神鹿) Youyou. It was created based on the image of the nine-colored deer from Dunhuang murals (壁画). The public can see the divine deer on CCTV’s own digital platform. Digital collections cater to the consumption habits of young people, who grow up in the information age. They not only protect the intellectual property of the collections but also bring the public closer to China’s “excellent traditional culture”, noted Dunhuang Art Institute. Su Bomin, director of the Dunhuang Academy, told Xinhua that more efforts will be made to explore new forms for showing cultural relics and offer the public greater cultural experiences to develop Dunhuang culture. 9.Which of the following statements about the virtual copy of the Mogao Grottoes’ Library Cave is true? (四) (23-24高一上·浙江金华·期末)In the time before air-conditioning, southern China’s sky wells played a key role in keeping people’s homes cool. Could they do it again today? A skywell, or “tian jing”, is atypical characteristic of traditional homes in southern and eastern China. Different from a northern Chinese courtyard, or “yuan zi”, a skywell is smaller and less open to the outdoor environment. Its size and design differ from place to place. Skywells were designed to cool buildings at a time well before air-conditioning existed. When wind blows above a skywell house, it can enter the indoor space through the opening. Because outdoor air is often cooler than indoor air, the incoming wind travels down the walls to the lower stories and create airflows by replacing warmer indoor air, which rises and leaves through the opening. Although skywell buildings have existed in China for hundreds of years, in recent times they have often been forgotten by people who prefer modern buildings. Over the past two decades, however, skywell buildings have been making a comeback. Yu Youhong, 55, has spent more than 30 years restoring (修复) skywell homes in Wuyuan county of Jiangxi province, apart of the old Huizhou. One of the skywell homes restored by Yu is in the village of Yan, in Wuyuan county. The deserted 300-year-old house was bought by Edward Gawne, a former marketing director from the UK, and his Chinese wife, Liao Minx in, in 2015. The couple turned the three-storey house into a 14-room hotel with the help of Yu. They kept the spaces surrounding the sky wells in their original state: open and with natural airflow. Gawne says that even without air conditioning the skywell areas are very comfortable in summer. Yu says he expects sky wells to be more and more popular among younger generations especially as sustainability (可持续性) becomes an important element for new buildings. 13.What do we know about the sky wells? A.They had the same size and design. B.They were commonly seen throughout China. C.They acted as air-conditioners in the summer. D.They were fully open to the outdoors like courtyard. 14.What is paragraph 3 mainly about? A.When sky wells appeared. B.What sky wells look like. C.Why sky wells are no longer popular. D.How sky wells cool buildings. 15.What did the couple do with the centuries-old house? A.They enlarged its rooms. B.They moved the skywell. C.They pulled it down and rebuilt it. D.They kept part of its architectural characteristic. 16.What’s the main idea of this text? A.The comeback of sky wells. B.An introduction to an expert in sky wells. C.The preservation of traditional Chinese architecture. D.The influence of modernization on ancient buildings. (五) (23-24高一上·浙江绍兴·期末)“When I was a child, I enjoyed watching Chinese dramas such as Princess Pearl and Journey to the West. Fascinated by the Chinese language and culture, I finally pursued it as my major for both my undergraduate and master’s degrees,” said Dinh Thi Thu Ha, a 32-year-old Vietnamese woman working at the waste burning power factory of China First Metallurgical(冶金)Group. When she first applied for the job in 2019, she aimed for the translator position because the company was preparing for a Vietnam project, its first overseas waste-to-energy factory, in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, and it was in great need of translators. “At first, I wasn’t sure how long I could do the job since the working environment was harsh. We were surrounded by garbage, the smell was terrible and dark-colored water would flow everywhere after the rain,” Dinh recalled. But the demanding environment was not her only difficulty as Dinh soon found out that being bilingual (双语的) wasn’t enough for her to be a qualified translator. She had to be an expert in the field of garbage disposal (垃圾处理) too. “The biggest challenge I faced was the translation of technical terms, many of which I couldn’t understand at the time,” Dinh said. “Whenever I ran into words or expressions that I wasn’t familiar with and couldn’t look up myself, I would ask my Chinese colleagues to explain them to me. They were always eager and happy to help.” In the company’s Vietnam branch, the number of Chinese staff slightly goes beyond that of Vietnamese, but Dinh said she never felt any cultural differences. “We’re not divided by our nationalities, and we’re members of the same family — China First Metallurgical Group.” Dinh now works as a junior manager, and her job description includes translation, foreign affairs contactor, and marketing. As a local resident of Hanoi, Dinh is very proud to have contributed to this project. “I hope to improve my information research and negotiation skills in the future and to further explore and develop the Vietnamese market with my colleagues.” 17.What can be learned about Dinh from the first paragraph? D.Rome was not built in a day. K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, said that she had kept a fairy tale on her bookshelf for almost ten years. The story is called The Ickabog. She said that the story was the one that she wrote years ago in between writing the Harry Potter novels. She stressed, “It isn’t Harry Potter and it doesn’t include magic. This is an entirely different story.” Ms. Rowling had always thought of the story as one that belonged to her children since she read it to them when they were younger. In recent weeks, she’s worked to bring the book to a final version. Several weeks ago, the author said she came up with the idea of publishing the novel for free on her website to amuse children who were stuck at home because of lockdown She discussed the idea with her children, who are now teenagers, and they thought it was a good idea. The Ickabog is a fairy tale set in a kingdom known as “Cornucopia”. The author described The Ickabog as “a story about the misuse of power”. She said the story wasn’t written about anything going on now but could be about any time or any country. And she hoped children could learn the results of people misusing their positions. Because the book was first written as a read-aloud one, Ms. Rowling thought it was well-suited to being published in parts on the Internet. The book will be officially published in November as a regular book, as well as an eBook and an audiobook. The money from the sales of those books will go to support groups that have been hit hard by the pandemic (流行病). Many Fans said that they liked the idea. And they thought what J. K. Kaavan, a 36-year-old, 9,000-pound elephant, was given the nickname after he suffered from emotional and physical problems while living in a zoo in Pakistan for 35 years. During that time, Kaavan was mostly tied in his enclosure (圈用地), and when his partner died in 2012, her body lay next to him for several days before it was removed. Doctors said Kaavan was overweight, malnourished (营养不良的) and suffering from behavioral problems due to loneliness. Cher, who has been advocating Kaavan’s resettlement, met with Pakistani Prime Minister on Friday and later visited Kaavan in the zoo. Kaavan was tested for COVID-19 before his seven-hour journey, during which 440 pounds of food were prepared. A doctor took care of him on the flight and worked with Four Paws, the animal rescue group that organized the move. He said Kaavan did not seem stressed and even slept during the flight. Very few elephants have been relocated by plane, according to Four Paws. On Monday, Kaavan arrived in Cambodia and made his way north by truck to his new home. Once he feels settled, he will be set free from his enclosure and allowed to wander around the reserve, which houses about 600 Asian elephants. Experts say Kaavan will get a long term of psychological and physical treatment. Years of living in an enclosure with poor flooring has caused his nail to crack and overgrow and he has developed a habit of shaking his head back and forth for hours, which is believed to be out of boredom. The elephant has lost half a ton since his diet was changed to fruit and vegetables. The zoo where he spent much of his life has been ordered to shut down. 25.What do we know about the elephant? A.It had a weight problem. B.It was kept free in the zoo. C.It was all alone in his enclosure. D.It lived in a reserve for 35 years. 26.According to the text, which of the following can best describe the move? A.Dangerous. B.Uncomfortable. C.Well-organized. D.Wide-spread. 27.What is paragraph 4 mainly about? A.The introduction to his new home. B.The further arrangements for Kaavan. C.The cause of Kaavan’s health problems. D.The medical treatment Kaavan will receive. 28.What is the text? A.A news report. B.A short story of an elephant. C.A research article. D.An advertisement to a nature reserve. (八) (23-24高一上·浙江衢州·期末)For a period of more than 10 years, improvements were seen in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. Deforestation rates(毁林率) dropped and stayed below 10,000 square kilometers a year. But that changed in January 2019, when President Jair Bolsonaro took office. Researchers and environmentalists have blamed(贵备) Bolsonaro for causing sharp increases in deforestation rates. Bolsonaro is set to leave office on January 1, 2023, after recently losing re-election to former President Silva. “Part of the tree cutting and burning during the dry season happens in areas that are supposed to be protected. In recent years, deforestation has reached protected areas where previously there was almost no destruction,” said Jakeline Pereira, a researcher with the Amazon Institute. Pereira told the AP, “In Paru’s region, rainforest was destroyed to enlarge land for crops and cows.” Bolsonaro has been blamed for weakening environmental agencies to support economic development. Brazilian President-elect Silva recently promised cheering crowds at the U.N. climate meeting in Egypt to end all deforestation across the whole country by 2030. “The climate problems will be more serious if the Amazon isn’t protected,“ he said. The Amazon rainforest covers an area twice the size of India. It acts as a buffer against climate change by taking in large amounts of CO2 . It is also the most biodiverse (多种生物的) forest in the world, and the home of tribes that have lived in the area for thousands of years. 29.How much might the forest lose in 2018? A.9,400 square kilometers. B.10,000 square kilometers. C.11,000 square kilometers. D.13,000 square kilometers. 30.Why was President Jair Bolsonaro blamed? A.He ignored the development of the economy. B.He lost the re-election to former President Silva. C.He took actions to reduce the area of rainforest. D.He focused more on economy at the cost of deforestation. 31.What does ”buffer“ underlined in paragraph 5 refer to? A.Railway. B.Shelter. C.Computer. D.Person. 32.What is the main idea of the text? A.Silva was researching the rainforest. B.Brazilian people hated deforestation. C.Brazilian rainforest in danger needs protecting. D.Silva was a better president than Jair Bolsonaro. (九) (23-24高一上·浙江宁波·期末)During the COP27 climate conference (会议) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, an important deal on “loss and damage” was reached. This was a big step forward because at COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, there were no talks on loss and damage at all. The plan is that richer countries will pay money into a special fund that will be used to help poor countries. Loss and damage means the damaging impact of climate change on developing countries. For nearly 30 years, poorer countries have been asking richer countries for money to help to protect communities from the effects of climate change. Richer countries have produced the most greenhouse gases, but poorer countries are often the worst affected by extreme weather conditions because they are less well equipped to face extreme climate events. Brazil’s newly elected President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made a speech about preserving the largest rainforest on Earth, the Amazon. During the last 50 years, more than 17% of the Amazon rainforest has been destroyed to make way for farms and towns. However, in his speech, Lula promised that there would be zero deforestation (伐树) in the Amazon by 2030. The conference didn’t just focus on world leaders. It brought together more than 45,000 people to discuss how climate change is affecting their lives. Climate refugees (难民) also had their voices heard. Tshilombo from the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya said, “Refugees don’t only flee because of war or conflict. It’s also about drought, the effects of climate change.” Some countries weren’t happy with the overall outcome of COP27 because decisions weren’t made on cutting the use of fossil fuels, such as coal, gas and oil, etc. The UK Government’s Alok Sharma said, “I’m incredibly disappointed.” However, this deal was a great achievement for developing countries. Sherry Rehman, the climate minister for Pakistan, said, “I am confident we have tuned a comer in how we work together to achieve climate goals.” 33.What is a successful outcome of the COP27 climate conference? A.The deal on loss and damage. B.The deal on using fossil fuels. C.The deal on rainforest preservation. D.The deal on helping climate refugees. 34.What has made it difficult for developing countries to fight against climate change? A.More greenhouse gases. B.Massive deforestation. C.Shortage of money and supplies. D.Terrible weather conditions. 35.What can we infer from Paragraph 3? A.Climate change is influencing people’s lives. B.17% of the Amazon rainforest was destroyed. C.Many factors lead to the appearance of refugees. D.There will be less deforestation in the Amazon by 2030. 36.What would Sherry Rehman probably agree with? A.Never put off till tomorrow. B.Many hands make light work. C.Knowledge starts with practice. D.No way is impossible to courage. (十) (22-23高一上·浙江绍兴·期末)The San Diego Zoo is celebrating an extreme rare event: the arrival of 41 Indian narrow-headed softshell turtles. This is the first time the species, which is native to South Asia, has been successfully bred (繁殖) in North America. The turtles typically live at the bottom of deep rivers and streams in northern India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Adults can grow up to 3.6 feet long and weigh as much as 440 pounds. During monsoon (季风) months in central India and dry months in other regions, the turtles lay up to 190 eggs in a nest on the beach and cover it with dirt to protect the eggs. When the babies hatch, they can fit in a person’s palm, at 1.5 inches long. The San Diego Zoo got its first two Indian narrow-headed softshell turtles in 1997. The zoo planned to breed them and hoped to learn more about the species, whose numbers had begun to drop due to pollution, destruction of their habitats, and capture by humans for their eggs, meat, or use as pets. The species is listed as endangered, and researchers don’t know how many remain in the wild. After learning that it only had female turtles, the zoo added a male to the habitat in 2001. Staff have been waiting for over 20 years to see if the turtles would breed. This summer, zookeepers found four nests in the enclosure. They hatched 11 turtles in August. Then, in September, staff members found 30 more tiny turtles in a nest they hadn’t noticed. “They are kind of cute,” said Kim Gray, head of the zoo. The babies were moved to an indoor habitat where they can be protected and studied. The zoo plans to give about a half of the baby turtles to other zoos and aquariums that want to help protect the species. “This is a thrilling moment for us,” Gray said, “and a big step forward in the preservation of this species.” 37.What is the main purpose of paragraph 2? A.To highlight the importance of protecting the turtles. B.To investigate the living environment of the turtles. C.To show the major stages of the turtles’ growth. D.To give a general description of the turtles. 38.What factor has contributed to the drop in turtles’ numbers? A.The serious lack of food. B.The slow process of growth. C.The heavy loss of habitats. D.The illegal trade for profits. 39.What is Kim Gray’s attitude towards the protection of the turtles? A.Positive. B.Concerned. C.Dissatisfied. D.Doubtful. 40.What can be the best title for the text? A.Zoo Celebrates A Rare Event B.Turtles Make Successful Return C.Summer Witnesses An Amazing Step D.Zookeepers Preserve Endangered Species (十一) (22-23高一上·浙江湖州·期末)We are all aware of the effect greenhouse gas emissions (排放) is having on our planet and the efforts needed to protect the earth. Most of us are doing our bit to reduce our influence or the environment, but despite our collective effort, are we doing enough to achieve net zero by 2050? Net zero means not adding to the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Many countries are doing their bit by changing how they produce and use power to cut down carbon dioxide (二氧化碳) output. And they announced what further steps they were going to take at the recent COP26 summit in Glasgow (格拉斯哥气候峰会). In the UK, the government has been setting out its plans to achieve net zero by 2050. It’s recently announced an end date for the sale of gas boilers, which are used for heating homes. The idea is to replace them with heat pumps. It’s offering homeowners up to £5, 000 to replace them. Another plan in the UK is a big push towards electric cars. More charging points are to be added in streets, and no new petrol cars will be sold by 2030. But not all emissions can be reduced to zero, so there should be other ways to make up for it. One way to do this is to plant thousands of trees, which are good at taking in carbon dioxide. The UK government has promised to plant 30, 000 hectares of trees a year by 2025. Other ideas can work too, but what’s certain is this will cost money. The CBI’s (英国工业联合会) Tom Thackray told the BBC, “those costs have to be weighed up against the cost of doing nothing.” Whether the UK, or anyone else, reaches net zero is yet to be seen. And there’s some doubt about how this can be accurately measured anyway. But it’s generally recognised that a global effort is needed to protect the environment. Therefore, net zero targets only make sense if every other country is moving in the same direction. 41.It can be inferred from the passage that_______. A.people are doing enough to reduce the amount of green gas B.gas boilers must be replaced by the end of 2030 in the UK C.Tom Thackray believed the UK government is wasting money D.it might be difficult to judge whether the UK reaches net zero 42.What’s the writer’s attitude towards net zero targets? A.Negative. B.Subjective. C.Objective. D.Supportive. 43.What’s the best title for the passage? A.Achieving Net Zero Target Together B.Protecting the Environment C.Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions D.Planting More Trees Together (十二) (22-23高一上·浙江温州·期末)Hoo, the online hotel room offer platform, has found that the level of staycations being taken across 16 global holiday hotspots has increased by an average of 18 percent when compared to this time last year. With the cost of accommodation also climbing 16 percent, Hoo found more of an increase in domestic demand for travel. “This time last year, we were already starting to see caution where our holidays were concerned, as the growing threat of COVID caused uncertainty over travel plans. A year down the line and there's an obvious shift away from international travel,” Hoo co-founder Adrian Murdock said in a statement, “Although we now remain in lockdown in many parts of the world, many are hoping that the easing of restrictions will allow domestic travel by the time the holiday season arrives.” Hoo, a British-based company, is an online platform that allows users to book a hotel room at the advertised rate or to make an offer on the room which the hotel can accept or decline in real-time. The figures it collected from 16 key tourism markets show that, currently, an average of 76 percent of all bookings are for domestic holidays, with just 24 percent of bookings being made for holidays abroad. This is an 18 percent swing when compared to the same point last year when just 58 percent of bookings were for domestic holidays. At the same time, this domestic demand seems to have caused an increase in the cost of staycations. Hoo also analyzed hotel room rates across major cities within each nation and found that the average cost of a room per night has increased by 16 percent. 44.What can we learn from Adrian Murdock's words? A.People are worried about COVID. B.People can travel as they like soon. C.Domestic travel will greatly increase. D.International travel is not popular now. 45.How does the author present his idea in paragraph 3? A.By telling stories. B.By giving reasons. C.By using figures. D.By showing examples. 46.Which can be the best title of the text? A.Free to Go for Domestic Holidays? B.An Increase in the Cost of Staycations C.International Travel or Domestic Travel? D.Staycations on the Rise Around the World 试卷第1页,共3页 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 专题04 阅读理解之新闻报道 (一) (23-24高一上·浙江杭州·期末)Chinese state media has praised a viral video series telling the story of a jade teapot coming to life and escaping from the British Museum to make its way back home. 【答案】1.B 2.C 3.D 4.D 【导语】这是一篇新闻报道。主要介绍了中国官方媒体赞扬了一个广为传播的视频系列,该视频讲述了一个玉器茶壶复活并从大英博物馆逃回家的故事。 1.细节理解题。根据第二段“The set of three short episodes, entitled Escape from the British Museum, shows the teapot turning into a young woman in a green dress, who then asks a London-based Chinese journalist to help her reunite with her family.”(这部名为《逃离大英博物馆》(Escape from The British Museum)的短片共三集,讲述了茶壶变成了一位身穿绿色连衣裙的年轻女子,然后她请求一位驻伦敦的中国记者帮助她与家人团聚。)可知,《逃离大英博物馆》这部短片共三集。故选B项。 2.词义猜测题。根据划线单词句中“…after reports last month that more than 1, 500 priceless objects were missing, stolen or damaged.”(上个月有报道称,有1500多件无价之宝丢失、被盗或损坏。)可知,此处为影片的情节利用了中国对大英博物馆日益增长的批评。故可猜测划线短语taps into为“利用”的意思,结合选项C项Makes use of“利用”意思一致。故选C项。 3.推理判断题。根据第四段中“It strongly supported the video series for touching on a “powerful message” about the importance of cultural heritage and reflecting “Chinese people’s eagerness for the return of the Chinese cultural relics”.”(它强烈支持该系列视频,因为它触及了文化遗产重要性的“有力信息”,反映了“中国人民对中国文物回归的渴望”。)可推知,《环球时报》对该系列视频的态度是支持的。故选D项。 4.主旨大意题。根据文章大意以及第一段“Chinese state media has praised a viral video series telling the story of a jade teapot coming to life and escaping from the British Museum to make its way back home.”(中国官方媒体赞扬了一个广为传播的视频系列,该视频讲述了一个玉器茶壶复活并从大英博物馆逃回家的故事。)和最后一段“The new three-part show has set off a wave of nationalism among viewers, with many praising the creative plot that reduced them to tears by showing how the teapot experienced the happiness of returning to China to see pandas and watch a flag-raising ceremony on Tiananmen Square. “May all the cultural relics abroad return home as soon as possible! ” said one of tens of thousands of people who commented on social media sites.”(这部由三集组成的新剧在观众中掀起了一股民族主义浪潮,许多人称赞其富有创意的情节,通过展示茶壶如何经历回到中国看熊猫和观看天安门广场升旗仪式的快乐,让他们流下了眼泪。“愿国外的文物早日归国!”社交媒体网站上成千上万的人评论道。)可知,文章主要讲的是关于中国文物回归的系列节目很受欢迎。故选D项。 (二) (23-24高一上·浙江杭州·期末)Thousands of lives have been saved by giving blood-thinning drugs to people with a heart condition that leaves them at risk of a stroke(中风), according to the head of the NHS. A.Recognising Signs of A Heart Attack B.A Breakthrough in Stroke Prevention C.Exploring Kinds of Anticoagulant Drugs D.NHS England’s Life-Saving Conference 【答案】5.C 6.D 7.A 8.B 【导语】本文是新闻报道。文章主要介绍英国国家医疗服务体系(NHS)负责人表示,通过给患有心脏病的人服用血液稀释药物,大大降低了房颤患者的中风可能导致的死亡或严重残疾,数千人的生命得以挽救。 5.推理判断题。根据第二段“Since January 2022 about 460,000 people in England who suffer from atrial fibrillation(AF)- a dangerously irregular heart rate-have begun taking one of four anticoagulant(抗凝血剂) drugs that are proved to reduce stroke risk. (自2022年1月以来,英国约有46万患有心房颤动(AF)的人开始服用四种抗凝药物中的一种,这些药物已被证明可以降低中风风险。据Amanda Pritchard称,这些药物的迅速引入使4000人得以存活,否则他们将死亡,并预防了约17000例中风。在英格兰,中风每年造成约2.7万人死亡,约12万人被送往医院。)”可知,这一段利用数字来说明四种抗凝血药物对心房颤动病人的效果。故选C。 6.细节理解题。根据第五段“The drugs, called direct oral anticoagulants, help stop blood from clotting(凝血), therefore reducing the risk of a clot developing and causing a stroke. (这些药物被称为直接口服抗凝血剂,有助于阻止血液凝固,从而降低血栓形成和导致中风的风险。)”可知,抗凝血药物的主要作用是防止血液凝结。故选D。 7.细节理解题。根据最后一段“NHS England has used its spending power to cut deals with the makers of the four drugs (英国国家医疗服务体系(NHS England)利用其支出能力与这四种药物的制造商达成了协议)”可知,英国国家医疗服务体系和制药商他们已经达成了一些协议。故选A。 8.主旨大意题。根据第一段“Thousands of lives have been saved by giving blood-thinning drugs to people with a heart condition that leaves them at risk of a stroke(中风), according to the head of the NHS. The British Heart Foundation praised the NHS’s “great progress towards its goal of reducing stroke deaths”. (三) (23-24高一上·浙江宁波·期末)On April 18—the International Day for Monuments and Sites, China Daily’s digital employee Yuanxi and Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes’ official virtual carto on figure Jiayao together introduced an interactive digital platform that hosts a virtual copy of the Mogao Grottoes’ Library Cave (藏经洞) to the world. 【答案】13.C 14.D 15.D 16.A 【导语】这是一篇新闻报道。文章主要讲述了中国南方的天井在建筑物中起到的作用。虽然过去一段时间天井经常被那些喜欢现代建筑的人遗忘,但是在过去的二十年里,天井建筑正在卷土重来。 13.细节理解题。根据第三段的“Skywells were designed to cool buildings at a time well before air-conditioning existed.(天井的设计是为了在空调存在之前为建筑物降温)”可知,天井在夏天充当空调,给建筑物降温。故选C。 14.主旨大意题。根据第三段“Skywells were designed to cool buildings at a time well before air-conditioning existed. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, said that she had kept a fairy tale on her bookshelf for almost ten years. The story is called The Ickabog. She said that the story was the one that she wrote years ago in between writing the Harry Potter novels. She stressed, “It isn’t Harry Potter and it doesn’t include magic. This is an entirely different story.” Ms. Rowling had always thought of the story as one that belonged to her children since she read it to them when they were younger. In recent weeks, she’s worked to bring the book to a final version. Several weeks ago, the author said she came up with the idea of publishing the novel for free on her website to amuse children who were stuck at home because of lockdown (活动限制). She discussed the idea with her children, who are now teenagers, and they thought it was a good idea. K. Rowling was doing would make The Ickabog a second Harry Potter. 21.What did J. K. Rowling say about The Ickabog? A.It took her almost ten years to finish it. B.It wasn’t good enough to get published. C.It might be a book suitable for all her fans. D.It didn’t keep the style of her well-known works. 22.What does J. K. Rowling want to tell children through The Ickabog? A.Caring for the weak is important. B.They should value their own cultures. C.They should learn from powerful people. D.Using power in the wrong way can be harmful. 23.What does the underlined part in the last paragraph probably mean? A.The Ickabog has something to do with Harry Potter. B.J. K. Rowling’s good action will make The Ickabog a best-seller. C.J. K. Rowling hopes her new book will attract young readers. D.The Ickabog will become more popular than Harry Potter. 24.What would be the best title for the text? A.J. K. Rowling’s new ideas for writing B.J. K. Rowling’s surprise for Harry Potter’s fans C.J. Rowling用她的新书支持受苦的人)”,故选C。 (七) (23-24高一上·浙江金华·期末)CAMBODIA—The “world’s loneliest elephant” has been resettled at a nature reserve (保护区) in the Oddar Meanchey Province after receiving some help from singer Cher recently. 【答案】25.A 26.C 27.B 28.A 【导语】本文是一篇新闻报道。主要报道的是36岁的大象Kaavan被安置在一处新的自然保护区的相关情况及其现状。 25.细节理解题。根据第二段中的“Doctors said Kaavan was overweight, malnourished (营养不良的) and suffering from behavioral problems due to loneliness.(医生说,Kaavan超重,营养不良,并且由于孤独而患有行为问题。)”可知,医生说,该大象超重,且营养不良。故选A项。 26.推理判断题。根据第三段中的“Cher, who has been advocating Kaavan’s resettlement, met with Pakistani Prime Minister on Friday and later visited Kaavan in the zoo. Kaavan was tested for COVID-19 before his seven-hour journey, during which 440 pounds of food were prepared. A doctor took care of him on the flight and worked with Four Paws, the animal rescue group that organized the move.(一直主张重新安置卡万的雪儿周五会见了巴基斯坦总理,后来在动物园参观了卡万。卡万在 7 小时的旅程之前接受了 COVID-19 检测,在此期间准备了 440 磅的食物。一名医生在飞行中照顾他,并与组织这次行动的动物救援组织Four Paws合作。)”可知,对于对大象Kaavan的重新安置,从时间上,人员配备上以及其旅途中的照顾方面都有了充分的安排,由此判断,这次迁移大象是组织有序的。故选C项。 27.主旨大意题。根据第四段中的“Once he feels settled, he will be set free from his enclosure and allowed to wander around the reserve, which houses about 600 Asian elephants. Experts say Kaavan will get a long term of psychological and physical treatment.(一旦他感到安定下来,他将被从他的围栏中解放出来,并被允许在拥有约600头亚洲象的保护区周围徘徊。专家表示,Kaavan将得到长期的心理和身体治疗。)”可知,Kaavan到达新家后,会将其从封闭的环境中释放出来,并将对其进行心理和景深方面的治疗,由此可知,该段的主题是Kaavan到达新居住地后的安排。故选B项。 28.推理判断题。根据首段“CAMBODIA—The “world’s loneliest elephant” has been resettled at a nature reserve (保护区) in the Oddar Meanchey Province after receiving some help from singer Cher recently.(柬埔寨——“世界上最孤独的大象”在最近得到歌手Cher的一些帮助后,被重新安置在Oddar Meanchey省的一个自然保护区。)”可知,该段介绍了本文的主题为世界上最孤独的大象已经被重新安置到一个自然保护区,下文开始讲述安置这头大象的具体工作,符合新闻报导类的文章的文体特征。且新闻报道类的文章,开篇通常会有新闻发生地或者新闻媒体的名称,本文开篇的CAMBODIA(柬埔寨)为故事发生地。故选A项。 (八) (23-24高一上·浙江衢州·期末)For a period of more than 10 years, improvements were seen in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. 【答案】29.A 30.D 31.B 32.C 【导语】这是一篇新闻报道。由于总统雅伊尔·博索纳罗的工作问题,巴西亚马逊雨林的毁坏问题严重,博尔索纳罗最近在竞选中输给了前总统席尔瓦,将于2023年1月1日离任。 29.细节理解题。根据第一段“For a period of more than 10 years, improvements were seen in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. Deforestation rates dropped and stayed below 10,000 square kilometers a year. But that changed in January 2019, when President Jair Bolsonaro took office.(在十多年的时间里,巴西亚马逊雨林的情况有所改善。毁林率下降,保持在每年1万平方公里以下。但在2019年1月总统雅伊尔·博索纳罗上任后,情况发生了变化。)”可知,2018的毁林率在1万平方公里以下。故选A。 30.细节理解题。根据第三段最后一句“Bolsonaro has been blamed for weakening environmental agencies to support economic development.(博索纳罗因削弱环境机构以支持经济发展而受到指责。)”可知,总统雅伊尔·博索纳罗受到指责是因为他以毁林为代价更多地关注经济。故选D。 31.词句猜测题。根据最后一段第二句中的“by taking in large amounts of CO2(通过吸收大量的二氧化碳)”可知,此处是指亚马逊雨林是应对气候变化的缓冲器。所以buffer意为“缓冲器,保护”。故选B。 32.主旨大意题。根据第一段“For a period of more than 10 years, improvements were seen in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. Deforestation rates dropped and stayed below 10,000 square kilometers a year. But that changed in January 2019, when President Jair Bolsonaro took office.(在十多年的时间里,巴西亚马逊雨林的情况有所改善。毁林率下降,保持在每年1万平方公里以下。但在2019年1月总统雅伊尔·博索纳罗上任后,情况发生了变化。)”可知,文章主要是讲由于总统雅伊尔·博索纳罗的工作问题,巴西亚马逊雨林的毁坏问题严重,急需保护。故选C。 (九) (23-24高一上·浙江宁波·期末)During the COP27 climate conference (会议) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, an important deal on “loss and damage” was reached. 【答案】33.A 34.C 35.C 36.B 【导语】本文是一篇新闻报道。文章报道了在埃及沙姆沙伊赫举行的COP27气候大会就“损失和损害”达成了一项重要协议,该协议标志着在如何共同努力实现气候目标方面,我们已经迎来了一个转折点。 33.细节理解题。根据第一段中“During the COP27 climate conference (会议) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, an important deal on ‘loss and damage’ was reached. This was a big step forward because at COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, there were no talks on loss and damage at all.(在埃及沙姆沙伊赫举行的COP27气候大会上,就“损失和损害”达成了一项重要协议。这是向前迈出的一大步,因为在苏格兰格拉斯哥举行的COP26会议上,根本没有关于损失和损害的讨论)”可知,COP27气候大会的成果是关于损失和损害的协议。故选A项。 34.推理判断题。根据第二段中“Loss and damage means the damaging impact of climate change on developing countries. For nearly 30 years, poorer countries have been asking richer countries for money to help to protect communities from the effects of climate change.(损失和损害是指气候变化对发展中国家的破坏性影响。近30年来,较贫穷的国家一直要求较富裕的国家提供资金,帮助保护社区免受气候变化的影响)”可知,较贫穷的发展中国家需要较富裕的国家提供资金来保护社区免受气候变化的影响,说明是资金和物资短缺让发展中国家难以应对气候变化。故选C项。 35.推理判断题。根据第三段中“Climate refugees (难民) also had their voices heard. Tshilombo from the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya said, “Refugees don’t only flee because of war or conflict. It’s also about drought, the effects of climate change.”(气候难民的声音也被听到了。肯尼亚卡库马难民营的奇伦博说:“难民不仅仅是因为战争或冲突而逃离。还有干旱,气候变化的影响”)”可推知,许多因素导致难民的出现。故选C项。 36.推理判断题。根据最后一段中Sherry Rehman的话“I am confident we have tuned a comer in how we work together to achieve climate goals.(我相信,在如何共同努力实现气候目标方面,我们已经取得了进展)”可知,Sherry Rehman认为通过共同努力,在实现气候目标方面已经取得了进展。由此推知Sherry Rehman会赞同“Many hands make light work.(众人拾柴火焰高 )”这一说法。故选B项。 (十) (22-23高一上·浙江绍兴·期末)The San Diego Zoo is celebrating an extreme rare event: the arrival of 41 Indian narrow-headed softshell turtles. A.Zoo Celebrates A Rare Event B.Turtles Make Successful Return C.Summer Witnesses An Amazing Step D.Zookeepers Preserve Endangered Species 【答案】37.D 38.C 39.A 40.B 【导语】这是一篇新闻报道。文章讲述了,通过努力,圣地亚哥动物园让濒危的印度窄头软壳龟首次在北美成功繁殖,实现这一物种的保护。 37.推理判断题。由第二段“The turtles typically live at the bottom of deep rivers and streams in northern India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. 由第三段中的“The zoo planned to breed them and hoped to learn more about the species, whose numbers had begun to drop due to pollution, destruction of their habitats, and capture by humans for their eggs, meat, or use as pets. (动物园计划对它们进行繁殖,并希望了解更多有关该物种的信息;由于污染、栖息地的破坏以及人类捕获它们的蛋、肉或用作宠物,这些物种的数量已经开始下降)”可知,栖息地的严重丧失是导致印度窄头软壳龟数量下降的因素之一。故选C项。 39.推理判断题。由最后一段中的““This is a thrilling moment for us,” Gray said, “and a big step forward in the preservation of this species.”(“这对我们来说是一个激动人心的时刻,”格雷说,“在保护这个物种方面迈出了一大步。”)”可知,对保护印度窄头软壳龟,Kim Gray的态度是肯定的。故选A项。 40.主旨大意题。由第一段中的“The San Diego Zoo is celebrating an extreme rare event: the arrival of 41 Indian narrow-headed softshell turtles. This is the first time the species, which is native to South Asia, has been successfully bred (繁殖) in North America. (圣地亚哥动物园正在庆祝一个极其罕见的事件:41只印度窄头软壳龟的到来。这是该物种首次在北美成功繁殖,该物种原产于南亚)”和第三段中的“The species is listed as endangered, and researchers don’t know how many remain in the wild. (该物种被列为濒危物种,研究人员不知道还有多少物种留在野外)”可知,文章讲述通过努力,圣地亚哥动物园让濒危的印度窄头软壳龟首次在北美成功繁殖,实现这一物种的保护,B项“海龟成功回归”可以作为本文最佳标题。故选B项。 (十一) (22-23高一上·浙江湖州·期末)We are all aware of the effect greenhouse gas emissions (排放) is having on our planet and the efforts needed to protect the earth. A.Achieving Net Zero Target Together B.Protecting the Environment C.Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions D.Planting More Trees Together 【答案】41.D 42.C 43.A 【分析】本文是一篇新闻报道。文章介绍了英国政府为实现“净零排放”而制定的一些计划,而真正实现这一计划,需要全球的共同努力。 41.推理判断题。根据文章最后一段“Whether the UK, or anyone else, reaches net zero is yet to be seen. And there’s some doubt about how this can be accurately measured anyway. (英国或其他任何国家是否会实现净零碳排放还有待观察。对于如何准确测量这一点,人们存在一些疑问。)”可推断,可能很难判断英国是否达到“净零排放”。故选D。 42.推理判断题。根据文章第一段“Most of us are doing our bit to reduce our influence or the environment, but despite our collective effort, are we doing enough to achieve net zero by 2050?(我们大多数人都在尽自己的一份力量来减少我们对环境的影响,但尽管我们共同努力,我们所做的足以在2050年实现净零吗?)”和最后一段“Whether the UK, or anyone else, reaches net zero is yet to be seen. And there’s some doubt about how this can be accurately measured anyway. But it’s generally recognised that a global effort is needed to protect the environment. Therefore, net zero targets only make sense if every other country is moving in the same direction. (英国或其他任何国家是否会实现净零碳排放还有待观察。对于如何准确测量这一点,人们存在一些疑问。但人们普遍认为,需要全球共同努力来保护环境。因此,净零目标只有在其他所有国家都朝着同样的方向前进时才有意义。)”及全文可知,作者客观的陈述“净零排放”计划所采取的措施以及人们的观点,从而可推断,作者对“净零排放”目标的态度是客观的。故选C。 43.主旨大意题。根据文章最后一段“But it’s generally recognised that a global effort is needed to protect the environment. Therefore, net zero targets only make sense if every other country is moving in the same direction. (但人们普遍认为,需要全球共同努力来保护环境。因此,净零目标只有在其他所有国家都朝着同样的方向前进时才有意义。)” 及全文可知,文章介绍了英国政府为实现“净零排放”而制定的一些计划,而真正实现这一计划,需要全球的共同努力。所以“Achieving Net Zero Target Together(共同实现净零目标)”作为文章标题最为合适。故选A。 (十二) (22-23高一上·浙江温州·期末)Hoo, the online hotel room offer platform, has found that the level of staycations being taken across 16 global holiday hotspots has increased by an average of 18 percent when compared to this time last year. D.Staycations on the Rise Around the World 【答案】44.C 45.C 46.D 【分析】这是一篇新闻报道。主要说明了在线酒店客房提供平台Hoo发现,与去年同期相比,全球16个度假热点地区的宅度假水平平均增长了18%。文章还说明了随着住宿成本也上涨了16%,Hoo发现国内旅游需求有了更多的增长,并列出了相关数据。与此同时,这种国内需求似乎导致了国内度假成本的上升。 44.细节理解题。根据第二段中“"This time last year, we were already starting to see caution where our holidays were concerned, as the growing threat of COVID caused uncertainty over travel plans.
