Charlie entered the shop and laid fifty pence (便士) on the counter (柜台).
“One Wonka’s chocolate,” he said.
The man behind the counter looked fat. He turned around and reached behind him for the chocolate bar, then he turned back and handed it to Charlie. Charlie grabbed it and quickly tore off the wrapper and took a big bite. Then he took another ... and another ... and oh, the joy of being able to put large pieces of something sweet and solid into one’s mouth!
The shopkeeper put Charlie’s change on the counter. “Take it easy,” he said. “It’ll give you a stomachache if you eat it like that without chewing (咀嚼).”
Charlie went on wolfing the chocolate. He couldn’t stop. And in less than half a minute, the whole thing had disappeared down his throat. He was quite out of breath, but he felt fairly happy. He reached out a hand to take the change. Then he stopped. His eyes stared at the silver coins lying there. The coins were all five-penny pieces. There were just nine of them altogether. Surely it wouldn’t matter if he spent just one more coin.
“I think,” he said quietly, “I think I’ll have just one more of those chocolate bars.”
“Why not?” the fat shopkeeper said. He laid another bar on the counter.
Charlie picked it up and tore off the wrapper ... and suddenly ... from under the wrapper ... there came a bright flash of gold.
Charlie’s heart stood still.
“It’s a Golden Ticket!” shouted the shopkeeper. “You’ve got a Golden Ticket! You’ve found the last Golden Ticket! Come and look at this, everybody! The kid found Wonka’s last Golden Ticket! Right there in his hands! He will be one of the five lucky children to be shown around Wonka’s chocolate factory!”
In a few seconds, there was a crowd of about twenty people around Charlie, and many more were pushing their way in from the street.

Imagine you are going to give a speech the next day. The night before, you spend a lot of time thinking about the possible mistakes you might make and whether you’re prepared enough. Or maybe everyone will laugh at you if you lose. Well, you might be overthinking.
Overthinking means thinking about the same thing again and again, leading you to see things in the worst possible way. This is because our brains are always looking for dangers so that they can make plans to deal with those dangers and keep us safe. Those dangers in mind may come from past experiences or the “what ifs” we imagine could happen in the future.
Some people believe that overthinking may be helpful because it helps us look at a problem from every possible direction and get ready for what might happen. However, research suggests that overthinking can make us stressed, worried and unhappy.
What’s more, overthinking might create problems with how you get along with others. As you think the worst, make incorrect guesses or worry about every little thing others do and say, you might misunderstand what they mean.
So, instead of sitting and thinking about a problem again and again, you can focus on something else instead of the problem itself. Your brain might find better ways to solve the problem while you’re doing something fun, like gardening, watching a comedy or even sleeping.
Also, when you find yourself overthinking, challenge these thoughts. Ask yourself if they will be sure to happen and think about other possibilities. It can be hard at first, but the following ways can help you know whether you are overthinking.
22. Overthinking can make us have the following feelings EXCEPT (除了) being ________.
A. stressed B. worried C. unhappy D. excited
23. If you are a person who is always overthinking, what might you think if you lose a basketball game?
A. My teachers will not like me and the classmates will laugh at me.
B. I believe I will do better next time if I practise harder.
C. Although I lose the game, I will treat myself to something delicious.
D. I will talk with my coach to find out why I lose the game.
24. How does the writer support his idea in Paragraph 5?
A. By listing numbers. B. By giving examples.
C. By showing pictures. D. By raising questions.
25. If there is another paragraph after the passage, it may be about ________.
A. what problems overthinking may cause B. what good things overthinking may bring
C. how you can know you are overthinking D. why people are always overthinking

第七部分 阅读表达(共3小题,74题2分,75题2分,76题3分,满分7分)
Recently, a new kind of tourism called special forces style tourism (特种兵式旅游) is becoming popular in China. This new kind of tourism means visiting tourist attractions in a short, intense period.
People who like taking photos and making recordings may choose this kind of tourism. With the popularity of social media, people prefer presenting their photos and getting “likes” from their friends. At the same time, tourist attractions provide some special photo slots (打卡点) to attract visitors. Therefore, special forces style tourism has become a way for people to show their lives and experiences by sharing photos and recordings, which makes people get a sense of satisfaction.
Not all Chinese people enjoy special forces style tourism. Many people prefer to take a long vacation to go to a place for detailed tourism and experience the local way of life. They tend to enjoy slow-paced (慢速的) deep travel, by staying for a long time to gain a deeper understanding of local culture, customs, and experience local life. The low-paced travel focuses more on feelings and experiences.
However, special forces tours do not necessarily mean that you have not fully experienced the charm of tourism. People remember the details of their travels more deeply by taking photos and recording them. These photos have become an important way for them to recall their travels, so they are not just looking at them without feeling them.
The value of tourism lies in discovery, experience, and perception (感知). Therefore, whether it is special forces style tourism or slow-paced deep travel, it is worth respecting and understanding. We should all feel the scenery of the journey with our hearts, see with our eyes and walk with our feet.
54. Who may choose the special style tourism according to the passage?
_____________________________
55. What does the value of tourism lie in?
_____________________________
56. Would you like to choose special forces style tourism or slow-paced deep travel? Why?

B. I believe I will do better next time if I practise harder.
C. Although I lose the game, I will treat myself to something delicious.
D. I will talk with my coach to find out why I lose the game.
24. How does the writer support his idea in Paragraph 5?
A. By listing numbers. B. By giving examples.
C. By showing pictures. D. By raising questions.
25. If there is another paragraph after the passage, it may be about ________.
A. what problems overthinking may cause B. what good things overthinking may bring

For me, I find myself really positive. Last month, I was selected to play a role in an English program. I found it difficult to remember these lines in a short amount of time. In fact, it was my positive attitude that kept me showcasing my best side.
