Last week, we had a special activity where we made kites, Chinese knots, and paper cuttings. We started with making kites. I learned how to cut the bamboo sticks and attach the colorful paper to make them fly. It was hard, but fun! Next, we made Chinese knots, which are pretty and can be used as decorations. I followed the steps and practiced tying the knots until I got it right. Lastly, we tried paper cuts. We cut paper into different shapes, such as animals, flowers and Chinese characters. I was amazed at how beautiful the designs could be just by cutting paper. I felt so proud when I finished my kite, knot, and paper cuts. It was a great feeling to see what I could make.
