Module 8 Accidents(Writing) 一、教学内容分析 本模块的话题是安全与救护,涉及到交通事故、人被蛇咬伤等内容。本模块的话题学生非常熟悉,因为会经常发生在我们身边,学习本模块有助于使学生认识到注意安全的重要性,有助于提高学生应对突发事件的能力。语法是过去进行时(与when和while引导时间状语连用)。 本课为本模块第二课时,是节读写课。学生在教师的引导下构建出描述一件事故的主体结构。同时要注意对时态及关联词的引导和写作。学生在足够的框架信息结构的基础上进行对事故的新闻写作。 二、学情分析 八年级的学生对写作已经有了比较好的认知和了解。进入新的学习阶段,学生应该对写作的形式有更多方面的了解。本节课要求学生以新闻播报的形式对写作内容进行汇报,对学生来说这是一种新的形式。在课前教师在新闻报道的一些要求和形式上要对学生进行适当的渗透,以便于学生更好的掌握这种形式的写作。 三、教学目标 (一)语言知识目标 1.词汇:理解和领悟下列单词的基本含义以及在特定语境中的意义,并运用词汇表述事物、行为和特征等。 动词:bite(bit),climb,throw 名词:fridge,medicine,pain 词组:pick up,take a photo with, hurry to,bite one’s hand,throw across, as soon as 2.语法:体会when,while 引导的时间状语从句和过去进行时的运用。例如:While the snake was lying on the table, Henry quickly picked up his mobile phone and took a photo with it. When Henry was trying to find the snake, his hand began to hurt badly. (二)语言技能目标 1.能够根据所学课文内容搭建描述事故的框架。 2. 能够根据图片进行构想并讨论完成事故的发展情节。 3. 能够以小组合作的形式完成新闻的创作及报道。 (三)情感目标与文化意识 教师帮助学生在学习新闻报道的过程中体验小组合作的乐趣。 四、教学方法与手段 采用交际法、任务型教学法、小组合作和情境教学法等几种教学手段。 五、教学资源与工具设计 (一)教师教学资源: 教材,多媒体教学设备,PPT教学课件,海报;报纸及手抄报的一些框架。 (二)学生学习资源:教材,学习用具 三、教学过程 I. Engage Step 1【操作方式】由课文M8U2知识迁移,帮助学生搭建关于描述并写作一个事故的框架。 T: What is the topic of this module? S: Accident. T: Then, what is the accident in Unit 2? S: A snake bit Henry’s hand twice. T: From the information you learnt just now, we know that when we try to describe an accident, we should tell people several parts. For example, the time—when did the accident happen? And what else? S: Why…where… how… what happened after the accident? T: After this information, what should we give in the last part? S: Advice. T: Now, think about another question, when we try to describe an accident, what tense should we use? S|:… T: Sometimes the past continuous, yes? T: Can you find some time words in this passage to show these two tenses? S: One day; when; while; as… T: OK, these are the basic information about describing an accident. Today I’ll show you another accident, now look at this picture. Step 2【操作方式】基于M8U2课文分析出来的关于描述并写作事故的框架,谈论一则新的事故并小组讨论完成写作。 T: What can you see in the picture? S:… T: Who had an accident? When and where did it happen? S: …… T: Do you know the reason? S: … T: Maybe someone broke it, or stole it,...and how did the accident happen and what happened after the accident? Now work in groups, try to discuss and finish this news report in five minutes. One student in your group writes down the report. You should pay attention to these five aspects: 1.Content. Handwriting Step 3 【操作方式】成果展示: 一、呈现每小组的海报,网页或者报纸上的新闻内容。 1. 集体评价: 对照评分标准, 通过投影对一组学生的成果进行共同评价。 2. 小组互评:对照评分标准及模仿集体评价的过程,小组之间进行互相评价。 二、以新闻播报的形式展示新闻内容并互相评价。 This time, you can report your news to us.
