Teaching steps: Step 1 Warming up Activity 1 Novel appreciation （朱自清的《背影》） (students try to feel the emotions conveyed by the description of a person’s body language teacher ask one student to show the answer) Activity 2翻译句子：这时我看见他的背影，我眼泪很快地流下来了。我赶紧拭干了泪，怕他看见，也怕别人看见。我再向外看时，他已抱了朱红的橘子往回走了。 Activity 3 brain-storm: How to describe a person’s body language? (students think out the verbs, phrases that can describe a person’s body language as much as possible) Step 2 Pre-writing (Teacher shows the words, phrases and sentences and students check their answers in Activity 2 brain-storm.) Sentences 动作链 在描写动作时，要学会细化动作，把动作过程分解成一连串细微的动作(2-3个动作)形成动作链，写出动作的连贯性，使描写具有画面感，使人物更立体。 1.“and”连接多个并列谓语动词 ·  She dashed forward , knelt down and gathered her son into her arms. · The singer glanced at the audience, took a deep breath and began to sing. 2.非谓语动词表达多个动作 · Standing beside the empty road, they looked up into the sky, feeling the precious peace from within. · Hearing this, her mother smiled, patting her back gently. 注意：现在分词的逻辑主语和主句的主语必须一致。 Activity 5 Practice (Students try to finish the practice to consolidate what they just learned. Teacher asks two students answer the questions and then check with the whole class.) 1) The girl began kicking and swinging. She tried to get free of the man's hold. =The girl began kicking and swinging, ___________(try) to get free of the man's hold. 1) Her father was lying on his back, and he was trapped under the truck. = Her father was lying on his back, ___________ (trap) under the truck. 3) Her dad was still conscious, ___________ (yell), “One more try!” 4) “It's OK,” Mama said, ______________ (comfort) me with a hug. 3. with的复合结构:主1+谓..., with+ 主2 + doing/done ... 或独立主格结构 当两个句子主语不一致时，其中一个句子变为with的复合结构，充当另一个句子的状语。（去掉with变为独立主格结构） · With their eyes fixed on Charlot, the whole class burst into laughter. · Their eyes fixed on Charlot , the whole class burst into laughter. （独立主格结构） Activity 6 Practice 1)He stood there.
