Apply the targeted expressions and speaking skills by creating a conversation. 教学过程 Procedures (45 minutes) Activity 1 Pre-reading Step 1 Starting out Teacher shows pictures to students and ask questions. 【Purpose】During starting out，teacher will lead to the NBA player. Step2 Teacher shows the picture and ask students to match the five basketball positions. 【Purpose】Students will know basic background information about basketball match. Activity 2 While reading Step1 Fast-reading Teacher asks students to read the passage and answer the questions to help them understand the passage. 【Purpose】Students answer the four questions to get the basic information about the passage. Step2 Careful reading 1. Teacher asks students to find the key words of each paragraph. 2. Teacher asks students to watch the video and find the sentences best describe the video. 3. Teacher asks students to dig into the details of the passage. 4. Teacher asks students to analyze the structure of the passage and review the title of the passage. 【Purpose】Students finish the four tasks to get the detail information and the structure of the passage so that they have a deep understanding of the passage. Activity 3 Post reading Step1 Explore the road to success. Teacher shows students three pictures and ask students to explore the Stephen's road to success. Step2 Group work. Teacher asks students to suppose they are holding a Stephen Curry's Fans meeting. They have invited Stephen Curry and his wife to answer the questions from fans. Teacher asks students to make up a coversation. Homework: Use what you have learnt to introduce a famous player that you admire.
