Unit 5 The Colourful World Part C Reading time (PEP Grade 3A) Unit 5 The Colourful World Part C Reading time (PEP Grade 3A) Part I Analysis of teaching material 1.单元主题：The Colourful World 该主题属于“人与自我”范畴，涉及“学习与生活”；也属于“人与社会”范畴，涉及“社会规则，文化意识与差异”，也属于“人与自然”范畴，涉及“身边的自然现象”。单元主题内容为生活中常见的颜色与功能，旨在实现学会颜色的表达，探索颜色的奥秘，感受多彩世界的育人目标。单元主题意义：学生在学习并表达颜色喜好的过程中，逐渐懂得生命，丰富，多彩，自然，热爱，珍爱，尊重，成长等意义。 2.单元内容分析：本单元内容围绕The colourful world这一主题展开，涉及7个语篇，包括两节对话课、两节词汇课，一节语音课，一个项目活动和一节配图短文阅读融合课。 A.语篇一是小学生日常生活对话。子话题是“The magic colours”。美术课上，Mr Jones将画板上红黄蓝三原色分别进行混色，黄红色调制出了橙色，黄蓝色调制出了绿色，红蓝色调制出了紫色。引导学生通过观察颜色变化的神奇，学会常见颜色的表达，尝试探索出更多不同颜色混和的效果。 B.语篇二是图配文字+Reading time《The life of a sunflower》。子话题是“The world is colourful”。语篇在“The world is colourful”的主题中展开，通过绿草、棕熊、黄鸭、紫花、蓝海等大自然的动植物与景色，认识多彩的世界。 C.语篇三是一节语音课。子话题是“Reading,writing and saying Qq, Rr, Ss,Tt, Uu (Colourful letters)”。让学生在韵律chant及拆音等语音训练活动中感悟、归纳出QRSTU的字母读音以及在单词中的发音。在拼读活动，描红字母活动中初步掌握字母书写的要求并辨认字母发音，感受英语活动的趣味性。 D.语篇四是小学生日常生活对话。子话题是“Drawing a colourful city”。Chen Jie和Sarah正在一起创作一副名为“The colourful world”的绘画作品。她们在沟通交流喜欢的颜色，并使用喜欢的颜色画出了红色和粉色的花，紫色和棕色的鸟，为画笔下的梦想城市增添了一抹亮丽的色彩，表达了她们对生活的热爱和创建宜居城市的美好愿望。 E.语篇五是一节词汇课。子话题是“Colours are useful”。在颜色是有用的主题引领下，课文拓展学习生活中常见的颜色，如粉色、橙色、 红色、白色和黑色，以及相应颜色事物所传递的功能信息，如粉色的护士服代表关怀和柔情；橙色的救生衣是大海中鲨鱼惧怕的颜色，是人类生命的保护色；红色消防车是危险的象征，引起警觉；钢琴黑白色琴键是为了更好辨识。 F.语篇六是一个项目活动,子话题是“Colours can talk”。其中短文《会说话的颜色》呈现了日常生活中红、绿、蓝、黄等四种颜色的表意功能。红色为警示色，代表禁止；绿色为安全色，代表通行；蓝色让人联想海洋、天空、宇宙等生态系统，代表可回收再循环；黄色波长适中，可视性强，代表引起注意。通过学习并结合生活实际，引导学生发现颜色也可以直观地表达各种含义。 E.语篇七（即本课教学内容）是一篇绘本阅读课，通过配图故事The life of a sunflower呈现了向日葵从幼苗到开花再到结果的一生颜色的不同变化。幼苗时期绿意盎然，开花时金黄耀眼，结果时棕色饱满，颜色的变化展示了植物生长的过程，通过感受植物生命的周而复始，激发学生对大自然的观察与热爱、对生命和成长的思考——“Colours are everywhere. Colours are beautiful. Colours help us and tell us many things.” Part II Analysis of the students 三年级学生正处于发育的关键时期，他们的发音器官比成人更为灵活，这使得他们更容易模仿外语的语音和语调。他们的记忆力和形象思维能力较为发达，主要依赖于直观和具体的教学内容，但相比之下，他们在理性思维和逻辑思维方面尚显不足。三年级学生对新鲜事物充满好奇，尤其是初学英语，这种对陌生语言的好奇心能够激发他们学习英语的兴趣。而且，他们的情感需求较为强烈，倾向于喜欢有趣的教学方式以及能够与他们一同参与游戏的老师。 Part III Teaching aims 1. Part IV Teaching and learning methods and Teaching Aids As a guider, I’ll use the direct method , communicative approach, task-based method, situational method and so on. While the students will learn in pairs, role plays and other activities in a relaxing atmosphere.And I will use PPTs, colorful paper and pictures for my lesson. Part V Teaching procedures Step1---Warming up and Lead-in 1.Display pictures of objects in different colors and guide students to quickly say the corresponding color vocabulary. 2. Show sunflower seeds on the screen or display the real object, ask: "What's this?" to introduce the main character of the picture book. Then ask, do you know how sunflower seeds come from? To introduce the theme of this lesson: The sunflower's life. 【设计意图: 通过图片展示复习巩固、进行知识复盘，再次展示颜色在我们生活中的作用和意义。接着用“寻根 sunflower seeds”激发学生的兴趣和参与度，为课堂增加趣味性和生成性。】 Step2---Presentation 1. Present the reading material to students to get an initial perception of the content. Students collaborate and discuss to give the picture book a title. 2. Play the reading audio, allowing students to compare it with the reading material and circle the color words they hear in the book. During this process, the teacher circulates. The teacher randomly takes photos of the students' markings and uploads them, randomly calling on students to read out the circled color words. The teacher uses a screenshot tool to capture the key color words from the picture book and places them in a border. 3. A picture tour is conducted on the big screen. A. With the help of an English-Chinese dictionary, the teacher guides students through each picture to understand sentences and new words, ensuring that students comprehend the text content. The teacher leads students to observe, capture key words, and have them guess the meaning of words from the pictures, then drag out word cards to help students understand better. B. By asking questions and discussing, guide students to understand the relationship between the color changes of sunflowers and the seasons, as well as the meaning expressed by the color changes. C. Students work together to try to reproduce the story content using mind maps combined with knowledge pairing classroom activities. D. In group cooperation, students retell the growth process of sunflowers in their own words, paying attention to the changes in color. 4. Play a video showing the growth and changes of sunflowers, guiding students to observe and describe the color changes of the sunflowers.
