Type in “A cat wants to go to space” and ask the robot to write a bedtime story. Just one second later, you’ll get the story of Max, who got over many difficulties to sing among the stars. This robot writer is called ChatGPT developed by a US company Open AI. The technology chats in a conversational way, answering questions from the Internet users. It can translate languages, talk with people and write songs, poems and even jokes. It’s one of the most powerful AI robots of its kind.
The power of ChatGPT lies in its speed and understanding of complicated (复杂的) matters. We may spend hours researching, understanding and writing an article on the theory of evolution (进化论). But ChatGPT can produce a well-written one in seconds. Another good thing about it is that if you ask dark, harmful questions, for example, how to make weapons (武器), it will not give you an answer.
However, ChatGPT also brings some problems. The materials (材料) they create are difficult to tell from those made by humans. This causes many problems, such as the copyright (版权) problem and the definition (定义) of art. It could also result in many translators and writers losing their jobs or being paid much less, as their skills are no longer something companies need.
It’s too soon to say what kind of influence ChatGPT will have on our lives. Let’s hope that, if ChatCPT does become bigger and more popular, its effects are mostly positive.
61.How does the writer start the text?

66 In other words, we think outside the box. Sometimes, thinking outside the box solves not just one, but two problems.
In Amsterdam, housing is very expensive, especially for students. 67 However, finding this type of apartment was almost impossible until recently. While the colleges in Amsterdam were trying to solve the housing problem, thousands of shipping containers (集装箱) were lying quietly in ports around the world. These huge steel containers carried products from one country to another. The life of each container is about 10 years. 68 But they can’t recycle all of them because there are so many.
Back in Amsterdam, a company (公司) came up with an amazing idea. Why not reuse these shipping containers as student apartments? 69 They are all the same size and fit together perfectly. The steel is strong. Moreover, these containers are quite cheap to buy. For all these reasons, they can be used to build apartments quickly and cheaply. Building began in 2005, and after only a few weeks, hundreds of Amsterdam students had new homes.
When students first heard about this idea, they thought the container apartments would be small, noisy, and cold. 70 What’s more, each container apartment has a kitchen, a bedroom with a study area, and a bathroom. Living in a shipping container has become popular. Today, over 3,000 Amsterdam students live in the container village.
A.Students need low-cost apartments.
B.The containers are great for building apartments.
C.However, to their surprise, the apartments are warm and quiet.
D.Steel companies recycle some or the old containers.
E.We use our imagination (想像) and come up with creative ideas.
【答案】66.E 67.A 68.D 69.B 70.C

67.根据“In Amsterdam, housing is very expensive, especially for students.”和后文“However, finding this type of apartment was almost impossible until recently.”可知,对于学生来说住房很贵,他们很难找到廉价公寓,选项A“学生需要廉价公寓。”符合语境。故选A。
68.根据“The life of each container is about 10 years.”和后文“they can’t recycle all of them because there are so many.”可知,集装箱的寿命大约10年,但太多了钢铁公司不能全部回收,选项D“钢铁公司回收一些旧集装箱。”符合语境。故选D。
69.根据“Why not reuse these shipping containers as student apartments?”可知,应该用这些集装箱建造学生公寓,选项B“集装箱非常适合建造公寓。”符合语境,故选B。
70.根据“When students first heard about this idea, they thought the container apartments would be small, noisy, and cold.”可知,当学生们第一次听说这个想法时,他们认为集装箱公寓又小又吵又冷。C选项“然而,令他们惊讶的是,公寓既温暖又安静。”符合语境。故选C。
