Firstly, let’s focus on the analysis of the teaching content.
This lesson is Book 8 Module 6 Unit 1, the presentation of language knowledge. The main topic of this unit is English newspaper. This unit includes 3 parts: Activity 1, Listen, point and find ‘will’. Activity 2 Listen and say . Activity 3 Practice. In Activity 1, it mainly deals with these key words: draw, picture, report, stick, fantastic and four sentences : I’ll draw the pictures. I’ll write the reports. I will cut the paper. I will stick the newspaper. In Activity 2, it mainly focuses on the patterns: I’ll draw the pictures. I’ll write the reports. What will you do, Sam? I will cut the paper. In Activity 3, it is mainly to practice the key pattern “What will you do? I will…”
Secondly, it is about the students.
Our students are in Grade 4. They are active, curious and interested in new things. After learning English for 3 years, they have some basic English background knowledge, so the teacher should attach importance to communication and provide students the chances of using English language. Since our students have learnt the patter “ will do” in Grade 3, it is not difficult for them to understand and use the language “What will you do? I will …”
Thirdly, I will talk about the teaching aims.
The first one is language knowledge.
By the end of the lesson, students are able to read, recognize and use these words: draw, picture, report, stick, fantastic. And these sentences: I’ll draw the pictures. I’ll write the reports. I will cut the paper. I will stick the newspaper.
The second one is language skills. By the end of the lesson, students are able to talk about “What will you do? I will…” in real life.
The third one is emotional aim.
In this lesson, students are able to work in groups and glad to help others.
The fourth one is learning strategies.
In this lesson, students are able to cooperate with others actively.
And the key point of this lesson is to make sure that students can use the pattern “ What will you do? I will…” to ask and answer correctly and skillfully.
The difficult point is the pronunciation of reports and fantastic. Students can talk about “ What will you do? I will…” in real life.
Fourthly, I will talk about teaching methods
In this lesson, I will mainly use Situational teaching method and Communicative language teaching method.
Next, let’s focus on the teaching procedures.
I will finish the lesson in 5 steps.
Step 1 Warmer
It will cost about 3 minutes. After greeting with the students, I will begin the lesson by enjoying some English posters and talking it with the students.
The purpose of this is to form a better English learning surrounding for the students, and at the same time, lead in the topic of the lesson “I’ll draw the pictures.”
Step 2 Presentation
It will cost about 18minutes. I will mainly talk about this step. With the help of the pictures, tape, recorder, ppt, students will listen, then answer the questions “ What will you do, Daming, Amy, Sam and Lingling?” After listening, students will talk in groups. And then, I wil ask students to write the answers on the blackboard. Next, students will drill the sentences and play the roles in groups. At last, I will show some pictures on ppt to help students learn the words and sentences.
The purpose of this is to present the new words and sentences in the situation and help the students understand the language easily and naturally.
Step 3 Practice
It will cost about 9 minutes. In this part, I will design 2 activities.

The purpose of this is to help students practice the key sentences and use the language in a real situation.

Step 4 Production
It will cost about 9 minutes. In this step, I will provide students the chances of using the language in real life. I will design a situation to help students practice the pattern “ What will you do on Children’s Day? I will…”
The purpose of this to develop students’ ability of communication and comprehensive language application.

Production 2 Describe your (visits or trip) at least 4 sentences.
Step 5 Cooler
It will cost about 1 minute.
In this step, I will guide the students to conclude the key words: draw, picture, report, stick, fantastic. And sentences I’ll draw the pictures. I’ll write the reports. I will cut the paper. I will stick the newspaper.
The purpose of this is to develop students’ ability of summarizing.
Finally, I will talk about layout design.
