Unit 2 Welcome to the Unit Teaching Aims: · To introduce languages in the world. · To talk about other forms of languages . · To practise students’ speaking ability Teaching Procedure: Step One: Leading-in Introduce languages in the world, such as Chinese, Russian ,English ,Spanish , Japanese, Tibetan ,French ,Arabic ,Greek, German. Step Two: Speaking Ask students the question: do you know other forms of languages? And show them emoticon and see if they know all of them. Ask students to think about what sign language is and show some pictures about it. Step Three: Further Discussion Introduce the language for the blind and the inventor of it. Ask students to discuss if English is important and why. Step Four: Language Points Ask students to fill in the blanks and at the same time deal with the language points.
