T: Good morning/afternoon, class! As we are approaching the end of our junior high school life, let's take a moment to look back at some of the memorable moments we've had. Who can share one thing they remember doing in Grade 7?
S1: I remember having a wonderful school trip.
T: That sounds great! Anyone else?
2. 1a (7 分钟)
T: Now, please open your books to Page 105 and look at 1a. Here is a list of things that some students remember doing in junior high school. Please check the ones you remember doing and you can also add more if you like. Then, I'll ask some of you to share.
(Students complete the task. After a few minutes)
T: Who'd like to share what you checked?
S2: I checked winning a prize and doing a school survey.
T: Good. What else did you add?
S2: I added taking part in a sports meeting.
T: Excellent! How about you, S3?
3. 1b (10 分钟)
T: Now, let's move on to 1b. We are going to do a listening exercise. Listen carefully and match the memory with the person. Before we start, let's have a quick look at the names and the memories.
(Play the recording. Students listen and match. Then check the answers.)
T: Now, let's listen again and answer the questions. What did Mary lose in Grade 7?
S4: Mary lost her schoolbag in Grade 7.
T: Who helped her find it?
S5: Her friend Linda helped her find it.
T: Good job. What kind of person is Mr. Brown? Is he strict with students?
S6: Mr. Brown is very kind. He isn't strict with students.
T: Right. What did Peter do to meet Mr. Brown’s standards?
S7: Peter studied hard and did his homework carefully to meet Mr. Brown's standards.
4. 1c (10 分钟)
T: Now, it's your turn to share your memories of junior high school. Please list some of them and then talk with your partner. For example, winning a basketball competition, getting a wish card on Christmas day. Start now.
(Students list their memories and have conversations. Teacher walks around and gives help if needed.)
T: Let's invite some pairs to share their conversations with the class. Who wants to have a try?
