Step 2: Pre-reading (5 minutes)

2. Ask students to predict what the passage might be about based on the title and the pictures.
Step 3: While-reading (20 minutes)
1. Skimming
Ask students to read the passage quickly and find out the main idea.
Check the answers and guide students to summarize the main idea.
2. Scanning
Have students read the passage again and answer the following questions:
Who is Peter?
What happened to Peter's team?
How did Peter feel?
Invite students to answer the questions and check the answers together.
3. Detailed Reading
Divide the class into groups of four. Each group is assigned a paragraph to read carefully and discuss the following questions:
Paragraph 1: What was Peter's problem?
Paragraph 2: How did Peter's father comfort him?
Paragraph 3: What did Peter realize after talking to his father?
Paragraph 4: What happened in the end?
