Lucy’s reply
Dear Jimmy,
Glad to receive your post card from summer Australia. I can see fluffy snow flakes and make snowmen almost every day in my hometown. It is the Lantern Festival today. So my parents and I went to see the colorful lanterns in a miaohui nearby. I also ate several sweet tangyuan. It was very noisy because of the fire crackers and people's laughs. I also feel quite excited because the new term is coming!
Write soon.
Best wishes,
Lucy

Self checking
Write and then check.
1. Do you think it’s fast to send a postcard to your friend in another far away country? Have you ever tried?
2. Is it suitable to write too much (personal) information or secrets on the back of a post card? Why/ Why not?
Further Thinking

3. Nowadays, since we have wi-fi, wechat and many other convenient applications which can send pictures and videos easily, is it still popular to write postcards and send them while you are travelling in another country?
Why or why not?
1. Revise your writing on your post card.
2. Choose one of your friends' postcards, read the article and give him/ her some advice according to the checklist. Help him/ her to make the article better.
