An amazing story
Discuss your feelings about Dr. Yuan and share an amazing story.
I was inspired a lot by Yuan Longping. Although he is one of China's most famous scientists, he considers himself a farmer, who has greatly increased the rice harvests, thus helping more people out of hunger. I admire him not only due to his great achievements but because he is aspiring and caring. He never stops dreaming of helping his people. There is even a story about his amazing dream that rice plants were as tall as sorghum(高粱). Each ear of rice was as big as an ear of corn and each grain of rice was as huge as a peanut. He awoke from his dream in the hope of producing a kind of rice that could feed more people.
Based on your discussion and the outline, write an introduction to Yuan Longping with an attractive title.

The man who feeds people worldwide
I am inspired a lot by Yuan Longping, who has made great contributions to the world, the most helpful one being super hybrid rice, which has greatly increased the rice harvests, thus helping more people out of hunger. Although he is one of China's most famous scientists, he considers himself (as/to be) a farmer, whose sunburnt face and arms and slim, strong body are just like those of millions of Chinese farmers. Born in a poor peasant family in 1930, Yuan Longping graduated from Southwestern Agricultural College in 1953, when farmers could only produced 56 million tons of rice. Out of a passion for his people, he made up his mind to increase production. Even during the late 1960s and early1970s, which was regarded a miserable time in science in China, he continued the research of super hybrid rice, which made him the first agricultural pioneer in 1973. After 9 years, he was called "Father of Hybrid Rice".

Each ear of rice was as big as an ear of corn and each grain of rice was as huge as a peanut. He awoke from his dream in the hope of producing a kind of rice that could feed more people. His tireless efforts paid off. In a recent harvest, nearly 200 million tons of rice was produced. He had been circulating his knowledge to less developed countries. What a really brilliant scientist--never to have a rest!
