I can still remember the afternoon when we climbed the mountain as if it were yesterday.
It was a sunny day. Eager to spend some time outside, I went up the mountain with my uncle. The mountain was hard 21 (climb) and had tough rocks and streams on it. In the end, exhausted and hot, I couldn’t go any 22 (far). So we went back down the mountain in the end.
On the way back down, my uncle asked me a question 23 left me speechless for a second: “What’s your dream, young lady?”
“I have no idea,” I answered 24 thinking it for a while. Then he smiled and told me about his story. He didn’t perform well at school when he was a student. Although nobody thought he could succeed, he knew clearly 25 his dream was-to be a businessman. “I knew I wasn’t gifted when it came to studying, 26 I tried to buy snacks from a market and sell them after class,” he told me. After he left school, he started selling different items to find out which one was most attractive to customers. Of course, he often had no money in his pocket, but however tough life was, he never gave up.
“There is no doubt that a person who puts in a great deal of effort to reach his or her goal will have good luck at some point. The meaning of life is to chase your dream,” he said gently. That night I 27 hardly fall asleep. I lay in bed tossing and turning, asking myself, “What’s my motivation?”
I once wanted to be a top student, but the hard work needed meant putting everything into following my passion. If I find myself lacking willpower, what should I do? Leaving home early the next morning, I climbed the mountain again by myself. It made me think: 28 we don’t experience the climb, how can we get to see the scenery on the top of the mountain? In the end, I reached the top and 29 (fascinate) by the warm breeze and sunshine. 30 could be more pleasant than that.

III. Reading Comprehension (45分)
Section A
Directions: For each blank in the following passage there are four words or phrases marked A. B.C and D. Fill in each blank with the word or phrase that best fits the context
My past students are starting to organize a scientific conference for my 60th birthday to be held about a year from now. Their gesture reminded me of Rabbi Hanina’s words: “I have learned much from my teachers, more from my colleagues and the most from my students.”
We all started as students. Just as kids bump into things as they’re learning to 41 the world, many of us have scars from early encounters with our mentors. 42 arise when those mentors attempt to establish their authority by trying to make us respect traditional thinking. Memories of these events should encourage us to do better as we 43 roles and mentor others later in life.
For example, the first advice I received from my postdoctoral mentor was to develop specialized skills and focus them on a 44 field, where I would establish myself as the world expert. 45 , I decided not to follow this advice as soon as I recognized by drilling down narrowly, one often fails to make further progress. In these situations, the potential for a 46 improves with a broader and more flexible perspective, which enables “out of the box” opportunities for drilling deeper around it.
Keeping this in mind, I encourage my students to think broadly and 47 about the most exciting problems in astronomy, such as: “What happened before the big bang?”; “What will happen in our distant cosmic future?”; “What is the nature of dark matter?”; or “When did life start in the universe?”
It is customary to consider a student’s raw potential as a stand-alone commodity whose value can be 48 through examinations. But my experience taught me that young scientists do not blossom into exceptional researchers 49 they are supported by encouraging words and inspiration; these ingredients are as 50 as nutrition and water are for seeds of flowers. 51 the initial belief in the potential of a student to become a successful scientist, this outcome may not come true.
As chair of the Harvard astronomy department for almost a decade, I witnessed many examples of students who were initially very slow to make progress but blossomed academically as soon as they selected a different advisor and a new topic for their Ph. D.A good mentor 52 the strengths of the mentee. As a result, a successful mentoring experience often reflects a good 53 between a fledgling(新手的) scientist and an advisor. They should both be congratulated for their shared academic DNA.
On the one hand, mentors get a kick from Oscar Wilde’s insight: “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...” But on the other hand, they should allow students to break free from the 54 path with creativity. The rule of thumb is to give young scholars just enough space to explore freely and learn from their 55 without damaging the direction of their future careers. The learning curves could be steep; some of my 50 students over the past few decades started slow but eventually rose to the greatest heights. Patience is key.

A
People always regret asking me and my wife how we got together. It’s a long story, involving other relationships and several countries, and to be honest, it’s not that interesting, so I’ll spare you the details. We were at a restaurant in Tuscany on our summer holiday last year though, when we met another English couple who had a far more interesting story than us. Lynn and Andy had actually met online before they got together, or at least they thought they had. After a few casual conversations through an online dating agency, they decided to meet for real. Lynn arrived at the restaurant first, and shortly after was approached by Andy, who thought she was someone else. It turns out they’d both arranged to meet different people, but liked the look of each other, and that was that!
And they’re not alone. It seems there are all sorts of places you might meet that special someone. Lukas met Sofie for the first time when he crashed into her car—on his bicycle. “It was raining and I was coming downhill really fast, so I couldn’t really see where I was going. Sofie opened her car door and I went straight into it, and off my bike,” explains Lukas. “I was unconscious for a few seconds, and when I came round there was this beautiful young woman asking me ‘Are you OK?’ Well, after that, she went to the hospital with me and was just really kind, really caring, and we hit it off.”
Every cloud has a silver lining, so they say, and Nick McKiddie would most likely agree. He was leaving the office late one night when he got robbed by a group of young men. He wasn’t hurt, but they stole his phone and wallet, so he called the police. Susan Harris, a young police officer at the time, attended the call. Nick explains, “I don’t know whether I was in shock because of what had happened, but I think it was love at first sight. I would never usually be so confident, but I just asked if she wanted to go for a drink sometime, and to my surprise, she said yes! “Nick and Susan got married last December.”
Animals don’t have the same social inhibitions (顾虑) as humans do, and this was certainly the case when Ri took her dog, Ben, to the local dog park. “As soon as I took his leash off, he ran straight to another dog on the other side of the park, and started getting very friendly indeed,” she laughs. “I actually had to pull him away, and that was when I met Ben, the other dog’s owner. We had a good laugh about it all, especially when we realized he had the same name as my dog. We became friends after that, and well, the rest is history.”
56.According to the passage, Lynn and Andy________.
A.first met in a restaurant in Tuscany
B.had originally arranged to see other people
C.regretted talking to each other online
D.preferred casual conversations to serious dating
57.________got to know each other due to an accident.
A.The author and his wife B.Nick and Susan C.Lukas and Sofie D.Ri and Ben
58.By “Every cloud has a silver lining” (in paragraphs), the author means that________.
A.every day is a good beginning B.every misfortune contains something good
C.people do not always behave as usual D.what you value in life matters greatly
59.What is the passage mainly about?
A.How the author and his wife met each other.
B.The places where people usually get together.
C.How great relationships may grow out of random encounters.
D.What people do in order to meet their ideal partner.

Have you watched the popular TV series Meet Yourself? In the TV series, the heroine Xu Hongdou travels to a village in Yunnan province and volunteers at a local cafe. She gets free meals in return. As the show finds a growing audience, volunteer travel — an old-yet-modern form of travel similar to Xu’s type of work — has attracted more attention.
These volunteer trips are usually arranged by church organizations, human interest groups or nonprofit organizations, and they take form of equal exchanges. During the trip, volunteer travelers often provide services like teaching, cooking, animal caring, and cultural activities. In exchange for their help, the volunteers may get free or discounted accommodations, meals and laundry activities, or classes.
It seems as if these long journeys could only be made possible in recent years by modern transportation. Nevertheless, volunteer travel dates back to the 1960s, when Alec Dickson and his wife Mora from the UK founded Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO), an international volunteer organization.
Traditionally, the volunteer activities take place in a foreign country. However, just as what Meet Yourself describes, more volunteer trips have taken place within the same countries or regions the volunteers live in recently. Sanlian Life week magazine commented that volunteer projects in rural areas are now attracting more urban visitors as a break from the fast and stressful pace of urban living. Yang Yan, a founder of a volunteer platform, told the magazine that it has indeed been a growing trend for urban residents to volunteer in rural areas.
People try volunteer travel for several reasons. By working voluntarily while traveling, travelers may make a real, positive impact on the world. The services volunteers provide can be through charities with lower costs for the communities they serve. Another benefit of volunteer travel is that it helps urban residents to get a taste of rural life. For those who are sick of urban pressure but can’t make up their minds whether to move permanently to the countryside, volunteer travel can be a solution.
63.Why does the author mention the popular TV series Meet Yourself in the first paragraph?
A.To introduce the topic.
B.To persuade readers to visit Yunnan.

D.To inform readers of the popularity of the TV series.

65.Which of the following can drive people to work voluntarily while traveling?
A.To earn money.
B.To earn reputation.
C.To experience rural life.
D.To make up their minds to move to the countryside permanently.
66.What can be the best title for this passage?
A.The Popularity of Meeting Yourself
B.Volunteer Trips Find New Popularity
C.Make a Difference by Volunteering
D.The Popularity of Volunteer Activities

Moments before throwing herself off a thousand-foot cliff, Steph Davis feels a surge of fear and excitement. As she pushes away from the edge, these mixed feelings give way to an intense rush, then deep focus. She must position her body just so for her wingsuit (滑翔服) to fill with air. Then, she must open her parachute (降落伞) at precisely the right moment and nail her landing, often within the span of 60 seconds.
67 In the face of such fatal consequences, why are some people still drawn to risky attempts? The answer may lie in a complex mix of genetic, environmental and psychological factors.
Even before we are born, our appetite for risk may be mapped out in our DNA.Cynthia Thomson’s study found that individuals who reported riskier behavior usually shared a similar genetic constitution (构成). Scientists believe that people with this genetic variant produce more dopamine receptors. “So they need to seek out intense situations to bring up their dopamine levels,” says Thomson.
68 Several studies have shown that risk-taking behavior is linked to the earliest bonds (关系) we form with our primary caretakers. Those with less secure attachments are more likely to engage in dangerous activities.
There is the common idea that extreme sports enthusiasts are chasing thrills. But Tim Woodman, a professor at the Bangor University in Wales, suggests that it is about something altogether different: emotion regulation. In his view, those who take part in high-risk sports often have difficulty experiencing emotions, a condition called alexithymia. 69 “It’s rewarding because they’ve moved from a feeling of inadequacy to a sense of achievement,” says Woodman.
For years, professional skiers, BASE jumpers, and climbers have argued that they are not reckless (鲁莽的). ______70_____ What people get from extreme sports is deeply transformational—a sense of connecting with a deep sense of self and being authentic, a powerful relationship with the natural world, a sense of freedom. They get a strong sense of living life to its fullest as if touching their full potential.
A.Now, research suggests that they are right.
B.They seek out extreme sports as a way to actually feel.
C.Extreme sports such as wingsuiting are gaining popularity.
D.However, most scientists agree that personality is a complex mix of environmental and genetic influences.
E.They are actually extremely well-prepared athletes with high levels of self-awareness and a deep knowledge of the environment.
F.According to a study by the University of Colorado School of Medicine, 76 percent of wingsuiters have experienced a close call.
IV. Summary Writing (10分)
Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point(s) of the passage in NO MORE THAN 60 WORDS. Use your own words as far as possible.
Cycling isn’t always easy. Busy streets, honking horns, and inadequate bike lanes can make it an uphill battle. But not even these difficulties can stop Europeans’ passion for cycling. According to BBC, bicycles outsold cars in most of the European Union’s states last year.
There are traditional bicycle capitals”, such as Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Copenhagen in Denmark. But in many other traditionally car-made countries, the shift to bikes is striking. Italians, for instance, bought 1.6 million bikes against 1.4 million cars in 2012.
So what has led to cycling’s growing popularity in Europe?
The economic crisis has played an important role in the issue. “The economic crisis has had an effect on all areas of people’s lives, including on transport,” Giulietta Pagliaccio, head of the Italian cycling federation FIAB, told the Australian Associated Press.
Since the European debt crisis broke out in 2009, more people lost their jobs while the cost of living, including fuel costs, continued to rise. It forced many people to give up driving to save money, the Guangzhou-based New Express commented. Take Greece, a country seriously hit by the crisis, for example. It sold 320,000 bikes last year against 58,000 cars.
More importantly, people have changed their views toward cars and bikes. Cars are losing their appeal as status symbols. Yet, cycling is now seen as “a safe, clean, healthy, inexpensive way to get around town”, the Daily Star concluded. “It not only reduces traffic jam and pollution, but also contributes to public health.”
However, with more and more people turning to cycling, questions remain about traffic and safety problems.
To ease people’s worries, dozens of cities have joined a European Union to make bicycles equal to cars as a form of urban transport. Quite a few cities now offer well-marked bike lanes, such as the cycling super-highway marked in blue in London. It runs all over the city, from the center to the suburbs.

By the time she got to the platform, Linda felt weak and tired—maybe it hadn’t been a good idea to give blood the night before, she thought. She rested herself against a post close to the tracks.
Several yards away, Frank and his girlfriend, Jennifer, were deep in discussion about a house they were thinking of buying. But then they heard the scream, followed by someone yelling, "Oh my god, she fell in!" Frank didn’t hesitate. He jumped down to the tracks and ran toward the body lying on the rails. "No! Not you!" His girlfriend screamed after him.
By the time Frank reached Linda, he could feel the tracks shaking and see the light coming. It was hard to lift her. But he managed to raise her to the platform so that bystanders could hold her by the arms and drag her away from the edge.

Good evening! Now, I know many of you are excited about the idea of getting paid to travel the world and see the sights. But remember, traveling isn’t all fun and games. It is hard work too. I remember when I was in Egypt to look at the pyramids. Now, of course they are fascinating—they are over 4,000 years old—but remember, Egypt is mostly desert and the temperature is often over forty-five degrees! So, the weather can be a problem.
And several years later, I was traveling down the Yangtze River in China with some photographers, and we constantly had engine trouble with our boat, so we couldn’t steer along the 6,380-kilometer river. Instead, we had to abandon our journey after just 2,150, which was a major disappointment.
The last journey I want to tell you about was the most rewarding. We went to Angel Falls, the tallest waterfall in the world. We backpacked for seventeen days through the jungles of Venezuela to get there. But when they finally came into view, with their breathtaking drop of 807 meters, it was incredible! So, remember, being a travel writer may sound like an amazing career, and it is certainly rewarding, but you have to be prepared for every possibility!
Questions:
14. What forced the speaker to stop his journey down the Yangtze River?
15. What does the speaker think of his job?
16. What might be the speaker's career?

17.What percentage of employees thought they were more efficient when working at home according to the research?

【答案】17.C 18.C 19.B 20.A
【原文】
Good afternoon, I’d like to share with you about working from home. Before COVID-19, my company believed that working in the office was good for productivity. But after over a year of working from home, many of us are starting to question traditional ways of working. Our boss did some research on the issue and discovered that 80% of employees have enjoyed working from home. 42% felt that they’ve been just as productive as they were in an office, and 28% felt they were more productive at home. For me, one of the best things was not having to travel an hour to and from work each day. This meant I got more sleep, and had more time for family and hobbies. I also didn’t have many questions from co-workers, so it was easier to focus, and get more work done in less time. But there were problems, too. I felt lonely at times and having online meetings could be very upset! Worst of all, it could be difficult to stop working because I didn’t have to leave the office. In the future, I’d like a flexible approach to work from home several days a week and in the office for the rest.

57.细节理解题。由第二段中的“Lukas met Sofia for the first time when he crashed into her car — on his bicycle.”(卢卡斯第一次见到索菲是在他骑自行车撞上她的车时)可知,Lukas和Sofia是因为一次撞车事故认识了彼此。故选C项。
58.词句猜测题。由第三段的“He was leaving the office late one night when he got robbed by a group of young men. He wasn't hurt, but they stole his phone and wallet, so he called the police. Susan Harris, a young police officer at the time, attended the call. Nick explains, I don’t know whether I was in shock because of what had happened, but I think it was love at first sight. I would never usually be so confident, but I just asked if she wanted to go for a drink sometime, and to my surprise, she said yes! Nick and Susan got married last December.”(一天晚上他要离开办公室,突然被一群年轻人抢劫了。 Every could has a silver lining在此处意为“好运伴随着不幸而来”。故选B项。

Visitors keep popping into the coffee shop for its minimalist interior and Spanish latte. Whoever visits this place will be reminded of the saying that good wine needs no bush. “Coffee” is a better substitute here, though.

C.To recommend a tourist attraction.
D.To inform readers of the popularity of the TV series.
64.Which is a volunteer trip according to the second paragraph?
A.Cooking in a charity.
B.Caring animals in a zoo.
C.Helping the old at a nursing home.
D.Teaching in exchange for free accommodations while traveling.
65.Which of the following can drive people to work voluntarily while traveling?
A.To earn money.
B.To earn reputation.
C.To experience rural life.
D.To make up their minds to move to the countryside permanently.
66.What can be the best title for this passage?
A.The Popularity of Meeting Yourself
B.Volunteer Trips Find New Popularity
C.Make a Difference by Volunteering
D.The Popularity of Volunteer Activities
【答案】63.A 64.D 65.C 66.B
【导语】这是一篇说明文,文章介绍了义工旅行的盛行。
63.推理判断题。根据第一段最后一句“As the show finds a growing audience, volunteer travel — an old-yet-modern form of travel similar to Xu’s type of work — has attracted more attention.(随着节目吸引了越来越多的观众,义工旅行——一种与许的作品类似的古老而现代的旅行形式——吸引了更多的关注。)”可知,作者在文章开头提到Meet Yourself是为了引出“义工旅行”的话题。故选A。
64.推理判断题。根据第二段中“During the trip, volunteer travelers often provide services like teaching, cooking, animal caring, and cultural activities. In exchange for their help, the volunteers may get free or discounted accommodations, meals and laundry activities, or classes.(在旅途中,志愿旅行者经常提供教学、烹饪、动物护理和文化活动等服务。作为他们帮助的交换,志愿者可以获得免费或打折的住宿、餐饮和洗衣活动,或课程)”可知,教书以换取旅行期间的免费住宿是义工旅行,故选D。
65.推理判断题。根据最后一段中“People try volunteer travel for several reasons. By working voluntarily while traveling, travelers may make a real, positive impact on the world.(人们尝试志愿者旅行有几个原因。通过在旅行中自愿工作,旅行者可以对世界产生真正的积极影响)”和“Another benefit of volunteer travel is that it helps urban residents to get a taste of rural life. For those who are sick of urban pressure but can’t make up their minds whether to move permanently to the countryside, volunteer travel can be a solution.(志愿者旅行的另一个好处是,它可以帮助城市居民体验农村生活。对于那些厌倦了城市压力,但又无法下定决心是否要永久搬到农村的人来说,志愿旅行可能是一个解决方案)”可知,想要体验农村生活会驱使人们进行义工旅行,故选C。
66.主旨大意题。根据全文内容,结合第一段最后一句“As the show finds a growing audience, volunteer travel — an old-yet-modern form of travel similar to Xu’s type of work — has attracted more attention.(随着节目吸引了越来越多的观众,义工旅行——一种与许的作品类似的古老而现代的旅行形式——吸引了更多的关注)”可知,本文主要讲电视剧《去有风的地方》带火了义工旅行,介绍了义工旅行的定义、发展和原因,故选B。

What Makes Risk-Takers Tempt Fate?
【答案】67.F 68.D 69.B 70.A
【导语】这是一篇说明文。文章介绍了为什么冒险者喜欢极限运动的原因。
67.F选项“根据科罗拉多大学医学院的一项研究,76%的翼装者经历过死里逃生。”承接上文第一段“She must position her body just so for her wingsuit (滑翔服) to fill with air. Then, she must open her parachute (降落伞) at precisely the right moment and nail her landing, often within the span of 60 seconds. (她必须调整身体的位置,使她的翼服充满空气。然后,她必须在正确的时刻打开降落伞,并在60秒内完成着陆)”讲翼装者飞行经历,F选项用科学数据引出下文“In the face of such fatal consequences, why are some people still drawn to risky attempts? (面对如此致命的后果,为什么有些人仍然被冒险的尝试所吸引?)”翼装飞行可能带来的致命后果。故选F项。
68.由上文第三段“Even before we are born, our appetite for risk may be mapped out in our DNA. (甚至在我们出生之前,我们对风险的偏好就可能在我们的DNA中被描绘出来)”可知,有科学家认为喜欢冒险的性格早被基因决定了,呼应上文第二段“The answer may lie in a complex mix of genetic, environmental and psychological factors. (答案可能在于基因、环境和心理因素的复杂组合)”,可得出性格会受到多种因素的影响(不仅限于基因),D选项“然而,大多数科学家都认为性格是环境和基因影响的复杂组合。”与上文第三段形成转折关系,讲述影响影响性格的多种因素。故选D项。
69.B选项“他们寻求极限运动作为一种真实感受的方式。”与上文“In his view, those who take part in high-risk sports often have difficulty experiencing emotions, a condition called alexithymia. (在他看来,那些参加高风险运动的人往往难以体验情绪,这种情况被称为述情障碍)”是因果关系,因为有些人难以体验情绪,所以寻求极限运动来感受情绪。故选B项。
70.结合上文用科学研究解释为什么冒险者喜欢极限运动的原因,A选项“现在,研究表明他们是对的。”和下文“What people get from extreme sports is deeply transformational—a sense of connecting with a deep sense of self and being authentic, a powerful relationship with the natural world, a sense of freedom. They get a strong sense of living life to its fullest as if touching their full potential. (人们从极限运动中获得的是深刻的转变——一种与深刻的自我感和真实感相联系的感觉,一种与自然世界的强大关系,一种自由感。他们有一种强烈的充分生活的感觉,仿佛充分发挥了自己的潜力)”肯定了上文“For years, professional skiers, BASE jumpers, and climbers have argued that they are not reckless (鲁莽的). (多年来,专业滑雪者、跳伞运动员和登山者一直认为他们并不鲁莽)”所讲的冒险者喜欢极限运动是对的的这个事实。故选A项。
71.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】Cycling on the roads is tough, but bicycles are becoming more and more popular in Europe. The reason for the popularization of cycling in Europe lies in economic crisis. What is more important is that people have changed their attitudes towards cars and bicycles. As more and more ride bicycles, traffic and safety problems remain. Many cities offer well-marked bike lanes to ease people’s worries.
①But not even these difficulties can stop Europeans’ passion for cycling. According to BBC, bicycles outsold cars in most of the European Union’s states last year.
②The economic crisis has played an important role in the issue.
③More importantly, people have changed their atitidues towards cars and bicycles.
④To ease people’s worries, dozens of cities have joined a European Union to make bicycles equal to cars as a form of urban transport.
2. 缜密构思

3. 遣词造句
These difficulties can not stop Europeans’ passion for cycling, but increased the sales of bicycles in most of the European Union’s states last year.
It is important that people have changed their atitidues towards cars and bicycles.
【点睛】【高分句型1】Cycling on the roads is tough, but bicycles are becoming more and more popular in Europe. (动名词作主语)
【高分句型2】What is more important is that people have changed their atitidues towards cars and bicycles. (句中what引导主语从句,that引导表语从句)
【高分句型3】As more and more ride bicycles, traffic and safety problems come with them.(as引导时间状语从句)
V. Translation (15分)
Directions: Translate the following sentences into English, using the words given in the brackets.
72.究竟是什么使得这幢房屋防风防雨?(It)
【答案】What is it that exactly protects this house from wind and rain?
What is it that exactly protects this house from wind and rain?
73.从长远来看,回收包装对环境有积极的影响。(impact)
【答案】Recycling packaging has a positive impact on the environment in the long run.
【详解】考查名词和固定短语等。分析汉语句意可知,表示“从长远来看”可用固定短语in the long run;表示“回收包装”可用recycle packaging;表示“对环境有积极影响”可用短语have a positive impact on the environment。整个句子可以recycle packaging作为主语,故需用动名词形式,主语为单数,谓语也应用单数形式,此处是在陈述一般事实,用一般现在时即可。故翻译为Recycling packaging has a positive impact on the environment in the long run.。
74.你能否得到一份工作一定程度上取决于你在面试中的表现。(determine)
【答案】Your performance in the interview will partly determine whether you will get the job or not.
【详解】考查名词,时态和宾语从句。句子可理解为“你在面试中的表现将在一定程度上决定你是否能得到这份工作”,根据句意可知,句子时态用一般将来时,“你在面试中的表现”是your performance in the interview,“将在一定程度上决定”是will partly determine,“你是否能得到这份工作”用whether引导的宾语从句,是whether you will get the job or not,因此整句话翻译为“Your performance in the interview will partly determine whether you will get the job or not”。故答案为Your performance in the interview will partly determine whether you will get the job or not.
75.尽管存在一些缺点,但网上外卖服务对那些住得离超市很远的人来说非常有用。(despite)
【答案】Despite some drawbacks, online delivery services can be very useful for those who live far from a supermarket.
【详解】考查介词、短语和定语从句。介词despite表示“尽管”之意,后接名词或动名词形式。online delivery service网上外卖服务;be useful for对……有用;far from远离。句中先行词为those,代指人,关系词在定语从句中作主语,所以用关系代词who引导。根据句意,故翻译为Despite some drawbacks, online delivery services can be very useful for those who live far from a supermarket.
