There is little doubt that house cats first developed naturally from ancient wild cats. The closest relative is the African wild cat which still lives in Africa today. This is understandable because the first house cats came from Africa.
Cats first started to live around people in Egypt about 6,000-7,000 years ago. From Egypt, cats started to move around the world. This is about the same time when Egyptians began storing grain(谷物) in buildings. Scientists used to believe that people tamed cats to catch mice and protect the grain. However, cats don’t like to be told what to do! Now, scientists believe that cats followed the mice and learned to accept people. Finally, some of the cats began to grow comfortable around people. These were smaller cats that needed protection. As these cats and people got used to each other, then they moved in together. Around 5,000 years ago, cats started to live with people.
Soon cats were in Greece, then the Middle East and China. They moved along Egyptian business roads keeping away mice and keeping people around them. After the Romans came to Egypt, they also accepted the cats and brought them to Europe. These cats likely bred(繁殖) with other cats to form the many kinds of house cats we have today.
Cats are relatively recent house animals. House cats still have a lot in common with their wild relatives. Cats sleep a lot to save energy just like wild cats. They will often get food at night as well. House cats are generally peaceful and friendly, but be careful! If a cat feels it is in danger, it will fight back—just like a wild cat!

Did you know that tea, the most popular drink in the world (after water), was invented by accident? Many people believe that tea was first drunk about 5000 years ago. It is said that a Chinese ruler called Shen Nong was the first to discover tea as a drink. One day Shen Nong was boiling drinking water over an open fire. Some leaves from a tea plant fell into the water and was kept there for some time. It smelt nice so he tasted the brown water. It was quite delicious, and so, the world’s favorite drinks was invented.
A few thousand years later, Lu Yu talked about Shen Nong in his book Cha Jing.
It is believed that tea was brought to Korea and Japan during the 6th and 7th centuries. In England, tea started to be seen around 1660, but in less than 100 years, it had become the popular drink. The tea trade from China to Western countries began to develop in the 19th century. This helped to spread the culture of tea and the tea plant to many places around the world.

In Wordle, you must work out a mystery five-letter word in six guesses or less. After each guess, the color of the squares changes to show how close you are.
Similar to crossword puzzles and Scrabble (一种拼字游戏), Wordle is not only fun but also great for the brain. It’s also simple and quick to play.
The most unique (独特的) thing is that you can only play it once a day. People wait every day to play it. “It’s just so fun! It’s one of the first things I do after I wake up,” said Francesca Gould from Australia.
Every player gets the same mystery word. People get on social media (社交媒体) to share and compare their results. This helps bring people together.

Some leaves from a tea plant fell into the water and was kept there for some time. It smelt nice so he tasted the brown water. It was quite delicious, and so, the world’s favorite drinks was invented.

【答案】例文
Dear Peter,
How’s it going? I am very happy for your trust and I would like to give you some advice for your problem. You feel quite upset these days because you have too many rules to obey. Some of them are from your family and some from your school. In my opinion, following some rules is important and even necessary. More often than not, obeying rules will make us popular among our classmates.
Since rules are important, what can you do to obey the rules? The most essential thing is to raise your awareness of obeying the rules. That is to say, you have to understand the importance of obeying the rules and accept them from the bottom of your heart. Rules may limit your freedom, but they do regulate your behavior. As long as you have the awareness, you can start from doing small things in daily life. For example, you should listen to teachers carefully in class instead of making noise or disturbing teachers. In the school, you’d better not run after others, because it is dangerous. When you have different ideas from your parents, you should communicate with them patiently rather than quarrel or even turn a cold shoulder towards them.
So much for my advice and wait for your good news.
Best wishes!
Yours,
Li Ping
