a lot “很多;非常”,表示程度,后面不接名词。
a lot of 和 lots of 都意为“许多、大量”,用法相同,既可以修饰可数名词复数,也可以修饰不可数名词。
a lot 相当于副词,约等于very much。而a lot of 和 lots of 都相当于量词。
例句:We need a lot of /lots of money. She loves him a lot.
我们需要很多钱。 她很爱他。
