Section Ⅳ　Writing——写一封关于出国留学优缺点的信件 本单元的写作任务是写一封邮件表述关于出国留学的观点，属于正反观点类议论文。正反观点类议论文一般会给出两个或两个以上的对立观点，要求发表自己的看法或见解。 跟课文学写作范式 (一)课文范式提炼 (二)写作要点指津 正反观点类议论文的写作要注意以下几个方面： 1．结构：引语→正方观点、反方观点→结论。可采用四段式或传统的三段式模式。 2．时态：此类文章多用一般现在时。论述一种现象或观点，不能因为是讨论过的内容，就用一般过去时。 3．发表自己的观点或看法，应紧扣主题，言简意赅。既可以赞成正方观点，也可以支持反方观点，也可以有自己的看法，只要言之有理，表达准确即可。 跟课文学亮点表达 阅读两篇书信的第一自然段，习得以下素养 ★学亮点表达 第一篇书信的第一段第一句使用了dramatic increase，突出地展现了出国留学人数的增加，以引出下文对此事的看法。第二篇书信第一段以疑问句开头，接着用but in my opinion点明自己的观点，引入主题。 [微写作1]——补全句子 (1)北京冬奥会在推广冬季运动方面的成功，促使体育旅游需求的急剧增加。 The success of the Beijing Winter Olympics in promoting winter sports has led to 　the dramatic increase in the demand for　 sports tourism． (2)毫无疑问，地球正在变暖，有强有力的证据表明是什么导致了全球气候的剧烈变化。 Undoubtedly, Earth is becoming warmer and there is strong evidence of what causes the dramatic change in the global climate ． ★学写作手法 两篇书信均从一个问题或事实切入，然后陈述自己的观点。在抛出观点时，作者先陈述对立的观点，如Although studying abroad can bring great benefits; There are certainly disadvantages, but…，这样的表达更有层次，也更令人信服。 阅读两篇书信的第二至第四自然段，习得以下素养 ★学亮点表达 第一篇书信的第二段第三句中使用了俚语an arm and a leg，比喻某样东西非常昂贵，要花费很多很多钱，类似 very very expensive。第四段第二句中使用副词significantly，强调中国在教育环境方面取得的重大进步，为论证自己的观点提供了有力的论据。第二篇书信中第二、三段都使用了动名词短语作主语(Studying abroad…；Cooperating with…)，从多方面论证自己的观点，使论证更有说服力。 [微写作2]——补全句子 (1)对于阿姆斯特朗一家来说，出国旅行每年都要花一大笔钱。 For the Armstrongs, traveling abroad costs an arm and a leg annually． (2)掌握英语意味着我们可以通过一个新窗口看世界。 Mastering English means that we can see the world through a new window． (3)学而不思则罔，思而不学则殆。(confusion) 　Learning without thinking leads to confusion；thinking without learning ends in puzzlement．　 ★学逻辑衔接 第二至第四段是文章的主体部分，分别论述了三种理由。在论证的过程中两篇文章都使用了很多衔接词语，以增强文章的条理性和逻辑性，指引读者理解自己的推理和论证过程，如to begin with, that means, in addition, for example, as, so, because, thus, therefore等。 阅读两篇书信的第五自然段，习得以下素养 ★学亮点表达 第五段中使用了很多高级句式结构， that引导同位语从句(the fact that…)，when引导时间状语从句(when you think about…)，以及状语从句的省略(while strengthening…) 等，提升了文章的档次。 [微写作3]——补全句子 (1)没有人能否认成功与行动息息相关的这个事实。 No one can deny the fact that success is connected with action． (2)当我父亲把胡子剃掉时，他看起来年轻了十岁。 When my dad shaved his beard off , he looked ten years younger． (3)沿着小路走，你可以听到鸟儿甜美的歌声。 While walking along the paths , you can hear the sweet songs of bird． ★学写作手法 第五段是文章的结论部分，分别用常见的总结词“To sum up, All in all”对前面段落的论述进行概括总结，得出结论。在结论部分，作者明确表明了自己的观点，对讨论的问题作出总结，清晰明了，不拖泥带水。 (一)输入好词 1．understandable adj．可以理解的 2．divide v．使产生分歧 3．convince v．确信 4．hold v．持有……观点 5．a heated debate 一场激烈的辩论 6．on the contrary 正相反 future．出国留学往往被认为是一个好机会，它将带来美好的未来。 2．Not only does studying abroad make it possible for us to learn different cultures and knowledge from foreign countries, it also enriches our lives．出国留学不仅可以让我们从外国学习不同的文化知识，也可以丰富我们的生活。 3．There is no better opportunity to improve a second language than studying abroad． 出国留学是提高第二语言水平的最好机会。 4．Studying abroad, you make memories that will last a lifetime． 在国外学习，你会留下终生难忘的回忆。 ◎Disadvantages 1．Studying abroad may affect one's life culturally and economically．出国留学可能从文化上和经济上影响到一个人的生活。 2．We will experience cultural shocks if we study abroad． 如果我们在国外学习，我们将经历文化冲击。 3．Some peers may not be able to adapt to a new environment of studying and living．一些同龄人可能无法适应新的学习和生活环境。 4．They have to deal with many unexpected hardships since they are away from 1．把第二步中的句5改为现在分词短语作后置定语，修饰句4中的envoy Chinese students can act as cultural envoys promoting friendship between nations． 2．把第二步中的句7改为不定式短语作目的状语和句6合并 　Studying abroad provides a great opportunity to contribute to the development of our motherland．　 3．用so…that…句型合并第二步中的句8和句9 Studying abroad benefits us so much that it is a wise choice for us to follow． 第四步：连句成篇 One possible version： Dear Editor， In the debate, I stressed the advantage of studying abroad in the following aspects． To begin with, the most obvious advantage of overseas study is real-life use of a different language．Another advantage is the increased chance for cultural exchange．Chinese students can act as cultural envoys promoting friendship between nations．Finally, studying abroad provides a great opportunity to
