When scientists go to a forest to study monkeys’ habits, how do they know which monkey is the one that they are studying?
In the past, scientists had to make signs on each of the animals. It usually took scientists lots of time and energy to do it. But in the future, they may have a much easier way because of facial recognition(脸部识别)technology.
A research team from China's Northwest University is using it to recognize monkeys on QinlingMountains.
“When the system is fully developed, we can connect it with cameras in the mountains. The system can recognize the monkeys, so people can get their information,” said Zhang He, a member of the research team. “For each monkey, we have 700 to 800 photos of it, and the recognition success rate(比率) is 94percent,”Zhang added.
“We could use mobile phones and cameras to see the monkeys in 3 to 10 metres,” said Zhang. “There is no need to touch the monkeys directly. It is such a good way to study the monkeys without troubling their lives.”
Facial recognition technology for monkeys is untoward because their faces are full of hair. The colour of their hair is usually the same as the environment around them. This makes it harder for computers to recognize
them.
Monkeys do not follow scientists’ words all the time. It is not easy to take perfect pictures and videos for them. Now, there are about 4,000 monkeys living on Qinling Mountains. The team's goal is to successfully recognize every monkey that lives there.

D. Facial recognition technology won't influence the lives of the monkeys.
( )4. We can learn from the last paragraph that .
A. the system is not perfect now.
B. scientists should train the monkeys
C. the team doesn't need to recognize every monkey.
D. more and more monkeys live on Qinling Mountains
( )5. What is the main purpose of the passage?

The Hero in My Eyes
In my opinion, a hero must be brave. Liu Wei, the winner of China's Got Talent, is a hero in my eyes. He lost his arms in an electric shock. However, although he's disabled, he can play the piano with his feet much better than most common people. What's more, his bravery also touches me a lot. He manages to use his feet to brush teeth, wash hair and even type on a computer all by himself. He never gives up when he is in such great trouble. From him, I' ve learned that I should be brave and stick to my goal when facing difficulties in my life. He' ll be a great hero in my heart forever.
