Great painters all have their own styles. As soon as we see their paintings, we know who the painter is. Brazilian (巴西的) artist Milton Omena thought about these styles. Then he designed logos (标识) for the world’s most famous painters.
Vincent van Gogh was a great painter of the Netherlands (荷兰). He used a lot of yellow and blue in his paintings, such as Sunflowers and Starry night. Omena designed his logo with these two colors and drew some lines similar to Starry night.
Leonardo da Vinci was not just an Italian painter. Omena thinks that he was no more a painter than an inventor. Therefore, the logo was Da Vinci’s drawing of a machine instead of his most famous painting, the Mona Lisa.
Salvador Dali, a Spanish (西班牙的) painter, was famous for painting clocks that look like they are melting (融化). In Dali’s paintings, he often drew things in a strange and unreal way. So Omena made a melting clock part of Dali’s logo.

What was the Earth like 200 million years ago? The weather was warm and there was plenty of rain. Tall trees, thick bushes, and twisting (缠绕的) vines (藤) grew. In these jungles (丛林), important creatures appeared. Maybe you’ve heard of them. We call them dinosaurs.
For about 150 million years dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Some of these four- legged animals were 17 meters tall. They could eat the leaves off the top of a tree. The heaviest dinosaurs weighed as much as twenty elephants. Others, however, were no bigger than chickens. No one has ever seen a living dinosaurs. So how do we know they existed (存在)? The answer is fossils.
Fossils are dinosaur bones that we find in the ground. These fossils can show us what dinosaurs looked like. A dinosaur skull (头骨) tells us what their head looked like. To see what shape their bodies were, scientists put their bones back together.
Dinosaur footprints and teeth were also preserved in the mud they walked in. Footprints can show us how they moved and ran. Their teeth tell us about what they ate. So what happened to all of the dinosaurs? How did they disappear? Many people think the dinosaurs all died when the Earth’s climate changed. The planet became colder and dinosaurs couldn’t keep alive. Today they may die out, but movies, television and museums are keeping dinosaurs alive in our minds.

They were then asked to describe it. ____57____ Others said it smelled like coffee. This shouldn’t be a surprise: Coffee and chocolate also come from materials with lignin.

Great painters all have their own styles. As soon as we see their paintings, we know who the painter is. Brazilian (巴西的) artist Milton Omena thought about these styles. Then he designed logos (标识) for the world’s most famous painters.

Leonardo da Vinci was not just an Italian painter. Omena thinks that he was no more a painter than an inventor. Therefore, the logo was Da Vinci’s drawing of a machine instead of his most famous painting, the Mona Lisa.
