there is/are ...
也被称为存在句或存在结构,用于描述某处存在某人或某物的情况。
There be 句型,用于表达“某地或某时有某物或某人”的存在状态。
基本结构是“There is/are + 名词 + 地点/时间状语”,
其中“there”是引导词,没有实际意义,
而“is/are”是谓语动词,后面跟着的是名词作为句子的主语,通常这个主语可以是一个名词、名词词组或者是代词,最后是地点或时间状语。
there is/are ...
就近原则:当句中有两个或两个以上的并列主语时,谓语动词的单复数形式通常与最近的一个主语保持一致。
e.g. There is a pen, two books and many pencils on the desk.
因为最近的主语是单数的“a pen”,所以用“is”。
There are two books, a pen and several pencils on the other table.
there is/are ...
结构分析:There be句型可以用于表达一般现在时、一般将来时和一般过去时。
e.g. “There is a pen on the desk.”(一般现在时)
“There was a party last night.”(一般过去时)
“There will be a meeting tomorrow.”(一般将来时)。
there is/are ...
定语从句:虽然There be句型本身不直接包含定语从句的结构,
但可以在其后接定语从句来进一步描述名词。
e.g.“There is a book that I have been looking for.”
(有一本书我一直在找)。
