One of the most unforgettable moments of my summer holiday in 2023 was the time I spent as a volunteer at the Shaanxi History Museum. It was such a wonderful experience for me because it was my first time to work as an exhibition guide.
I was very excited when my mother told me that I had passed the interview but as it was the first time I took part in such an activity, I felt it was an “impossible task” for me. I knew almost nothing about the history or meaning of the exhibits . In the following days, with the help of my teachers, I had to do a lot of research on the Internet to learn about the historical backgrounds of the exhibits before I could complete my task. I practiced very hard at home in order to make sure I could express information correctly. Two weeks later, I was able to show my part of the introduction in front of a group of my classmates.
Soon, it was time to stand in the exhibition hall as a real guide. I was so nervous that I was afraid to speak to the visitors. They came and went in silence. I made up my mind to make a change. I went up to a young lady and said, ”May I be your guide?” She nodded with a smile. I raised my voice and led the young lady around the hall, explaining every exhibit to her. After the introduction, she praised me a lot. I was very thankful to her for giving me the chance. For the rest of the day, I was brave and confident enough to guide other visitors.
During this experience, I stepped out of my comfort zone (区域) and learned an important lesson — take one step forward, and you will grow.
The word “exhibition” means a collection of things that are shown to the public.
The word “exhibit” means a work of art put in a public place.

A. she was too shy to talk to strangers

A. Confident→ashamed→sad.
B. Afraid→ worried→tired.
C. Nervous→thankful→confident.
D. Shy→nervous→relaxed.
26. The writer wrote this passage in the order of ________.
A. time B. space C. persons D. opinions
Imagine you are walking in the sand on a beach. As you walk, you leave footprints (足迹). Later, the footprints disappear. But imagine if your footprints stayed there forever. And imagine, too, that you left footprints everywhere you walked so that someone could know wherever you’ve been. How would you think about that? Well, that’s what happens when you use computers and mobile phones. When you go online, you leave your digital (数字) footprint, and it can be tracked (追踪) in a database (数据库). Does this matter? Of course, the answer is”Yes”. There are some reasons why your digital footprint matters to you.
There is someone who is interested in what you write on Twitter or post on Instagram. For example, companies who sell things are interested because they want to send you ads for things they want you to buy.
What you write online influences how people see you. Perhaps one day you write something silly online. Maybe you make a bad joke. Years later, it’s found by the company you’re applying to, and they don’t think it’s funny. Then what? Maybe they decide you’re not the right kind of person for them.
You should keep your money safe. There are plenty of people looking at information about you, and some of them want to steal from you. The less information you put out, the harder it is for them. Bank details, card numbers, passwords (密码) ... None of them should be written in emails, text messages or anything else.
In a word, remember that you have a digital footprint, and think carefully before you click “send” or “post”. No one can go online and not leave a footprint, but with care, you can control it.
27. What does the underlined word “it” refer to in Paragraph 1?
A. Your digital footprint. B. Your computer.
C. Your mobile phone. D. Your database.
28. Which of the following is TRUE according to the text?
A. Your footprints on a beach can be tracked in a database.
B. Everybody is interested in what others post on Instagram.
C. What you write online may be found by others years later.
D. It is safe to send your passwords in emails to your parents.
29. What’s the main idea of the text?
A. People must pay attention to ads from companies.
B. People are expected to post funny things online.
C. People are encouraged to keep their money safe.
D. People should be careful with their digital footprints.
30. Where can you probably see the passage?
A In a restaurant. B. In a store.
C. On a website. D. In a hospital.
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Do you know what a landform (地貌) is? We use landforms to describe the earth’s surface, such as a mountain, or an island. Landforms are shaped by different forces of nature, such as wind, water and ice. Landforms can also be influenced by human activities, such as farming, mining (采矿), building, and pollution.
____31____. For example, people can build dams (水坝) to create lakes for water and power using. People can also plant trees to protect the land and create homes for animals.
However, some human activities can hurt the landforms and cause problems to the environment and people’s life.
____32____. Cities take away animals’ homes and make it harder for plants to grow. This can increase the risk of floods. Farming is another way people hurt the environment. Farmers need to grow food, but they might hurt the soil and water. Using too many chemicals and not watering in a smart way can make the environment worse.
____33____. People need lots of things from the earth, but mining can hurt the land.
Therefore, we should care about the landforms and protect them from harm. Landforms are important for many reasons. They provide us with natural resources. They also influence the weather of different areas.
____34____. We can protect the landforms by using them wisely. We can reduce our use of natural resources and use renewable energy. We can also recycle and reuse materials to reduce waste and pollution. Another way is to build things like parks and wetlands, ____35____.
By protecting the landforms, we are not only protecting the earth’s beauty, but also our own future.

As we know, insects are small and weak animals. To help these animals, some people build houses for them in gardens, parks and farms. When winter comes, the insects can find a warm place to live in. Before filling the rooms, think about a question first. What types of insects do you want to invite? Different insects like different things. This will help you decide how to fill the rooms.

One of the most unforgettable moments of my summer holiday in 2023 was the time I spent as a volunteer at the Shaanxi History Museum. It was such a wonderful experience for me because it was my first time to work as an exhibition guide.
I was very excited when my mother told me that I had passed the interview, but as it was the first time I took part in such an activity, I felt it was an “impossible task” for me.

When you go online, you leave your digital (数字的) footprint, and it can be tracked (追踪) in a database (数据库).
Years later it’s found by the company you’re applying to, and they don’t think it’s funny.

【答案】
Go green at school
Dear students,
Isn’t it pleasant to study in an environmentally friendly school? Today it’s my great honor to give a speech about how to build a clean and beautiful campus.
There are many problems in our school now. Sometimes the faucet is not turned off. Someone did not turn off the lights after leaving the classroom. We still have people who don’t save food. I think a clean and tidy school should be filled with birds chirping and flowers blooming everywhere. Everyone saves energy and cares for the environment. So we all need to take care of the environment.
On one hand, we should save resources. Firstly , we should save paper. We can reuse the textbooks and use both sides of the paper. Secondly, we should save water. We can take short showers and reuse water. Thirdly, we are supposed to save electricity. When we leave from the classroom, we can turn off the light . Also, we needn’t turn on all the lights if enough. On the other hand, we should reduce pollution. We can plant more trees and flowers, choose the public transport and use the cloth bags instead of plastic bags. If we take good care of our earth today, it will be more beautiful tomorrow.
Thank you for your listening!
