【教学过程】
Step 1 Lead-in
Play a guessing game : One student describes a person in the class
with the details of country, age, looks, personality and hobby. Other students try to guess who he or she is.
Step 2 Reading
1. Read the text in Activity l about Lingling and her friend. And then predict the contents of the text.
2. Read the text and complete the thinking map in Activity 1 .
3. Read the text in Activity l and identify the key points to describe a person.
4. Analyze the text structure and find out the main idea of each paragraph. Then make an outline of the text.
Step 3 Writing
1.Draw a thinking map about yourself and your friend in Activity 2.
2. Draft the essay in Activity 3 about yourself and your friend.
3.Work in pairs. Discuss and revise the draft.
4. Make the final draft in the exercise book in Activity 4.
Step 4 Evaluating
1. Invite the partner to rate the final draft.
2. Edit the draft.
3. Present the final draft to the whole class in Activity 5.

【课后反思】
本节课成功的达成了既定的教学目标,通过了一系列精心设计的教学环节,如Reading, Writing等, 还在Writing环节中有效突破了学习难关。本节课教学内容较多,因此学生们在课堂上练习写作的时间有点少,在今后的以读促写课上会注意这个问题。
