What is syllable (音节)?
音节是语言中单个元音音素和辅音音素组合发音的最小语音单位。
英语单词中,每含有一个元音音素,就有一个音节。
含有一个音节的,称为单音节词(所有的单音节词都需要重读,但不标重音符号);
含有两个音节的,称为双音节词;
含有三个音节及以上的,称为多音节词。
在双音节词和多音节词中,有一个音节读得特别重而强,其他音节读得相对轻一些或弱一些,这个特别响亮的音节称为重读音节(用重音符号'表示,标于重读音节前面左上角处,如/'mju:zɪk/)。
例:red, book, blue ____________ 词;
pupil, music, student ____________ 词;
beautiful, carefully, important ____________ 词。

What is open syllable (开音节)?
Open Syllable (开音节)
1.以单个发音的元音字母结尾(后面没有辅音字母)
的重读音节。(绝对开音节)
如:hi, so, she...
2. 以单个元音字母+辅音字母(r除外)+不发音的e
结尾的重读音节。(相对开音节)
如:take, like, name...
※元音字母在重读开音节中发其本身的音,即字母本音/字母音。
(相对开音节)简化记忆:
“元+辅+e” 或
“辅+元+辅+e”
认识音节
What is closed syllable (闭音节)?
Closed Syllable (闭音节)
以辅音字母(r,w,y除外)结尾,且中间只有一个元音音素的音节。
在重读闭音节中,元音字母发短元音。如:bed, not, but...
(重读闭音节是闭音节的一种特殊形式,它不仅满足闭音节的所有条件,而且还是重读音节。)
闭音节的特点是:
1. 以一个辅音音素结尾,辅音前边有且只有一个元音。
2. 最后一个音节是重读音节,最后一个辅音字母发其相对应的辅音符号
的音。
