Step 2 Work on 3a 1.Ask the students to read the sentences in 3a. 2.Let the students talk about the sentences in groups and let them circle and，but and because.Then ask some students to share their findings and complete the statements. 3.Explain the grammar points. Step 3 Work on 3b－3c 1.Ask the students to match the two parts in 3b to make sentences. 2.Check the answers.Ask some volunteers to read these sentences for the class. 3.Then make more sentences with and，but or because. 4.Let the students complete the passage in 3c with and，but or because. 5.Check the answers together.
