Recently, there is a heated discussion on whether students should be given labor education at school.

As for students, opinions are divided. On the one hand, some students think that it will be of great benefit to their health and all-round development. On the other hand, some students hold the view that this kind of education will take up their time spent on study. What’s more, it will have a negative effect on their grades.

As far as I’m concerned, students definitely should receive labor education so that they’ll value more what labor brings about.

The discussion about electronic dictionaries has never stopped in the past few years.

An electronic dictionary has lots of advantages, of which the biggest is its convenience. What's more, they can pronounce the words clearly. Last but not least, more and more students can afford them. However,the negative effects are also obvious. To begin with, some students rely too much on them. In the second place, some explanations are not so accurate.

Now, we can see it clearly that an electronic dictionary is neither beneficial nor harmful in itself. The key lies in the users-so long as we can make proper use of it, it can be most helpful to us in many respects.

Recently our class had a heated discussion about whether it is important to protect the cultural heritage. We hold different views on it.

80% of us think it important to protect the cultural heritage. They believe that the cultural heritage is a symbol of splendid ancient civilisation. However, the others don't think so, arguing that protecting the cultural heritage cannot promote the development of society.

In my opinion, it's our duty to take more effective measures to protect our cultural heritage and we can benefit a lot from the cultural and historical inspirations it conveys.

  We had an argument over whether it is necessary to carry out outer space explorations at a class meeting the other day. Different students have different attitudes towards it.

  Some of us think it’s important to research the outer space. First of all, people can get a better understanding of the outer space through their exploration. Secondly, new resources can be found there for human being. Thirdly, this exploration can possibly bring about new living space for human life in the near future. However, others are strongly against it.They believe that it takes so much money to do this kind of exploration, which is not worth the value. Besides, it is very dangerous for astronauts to do such work in the outer space.

  In my opinion, people should be pioneering, and therefore such explorations into the outer space are worth trying out.
