Unit 8 How do you make a banana milk shake? Section A (1a-1c) 1、 Teaching objectives: Knowledge objectives: 1. To be able to remember the words and phrases: shake, milk shake, blender, peel, cut up, pour...into..., turn on, drink. 2. To be able to use the words of describing process:First, Next, Then, Finally. Ability objectives: 1. To be able to describe how to make a banana milk shake. 2. Be able to make your own milkshake 3. Develop listening and speaking skills Emotion objective: Learn to cooperate and have fun making milkshakes. 二、Teaching points 1. Important points: 1) To remember the words and phrases: shake, milk shake, blender, peel, cut up, pour...into..., turn on, drink. 2)To be able to use correctly the words of describing process: First, Next, Then, Finally. 2.Difficult point: To describe how to make a banana milk shake. 三、Teaching methods Listening and Group work 四、Teaching procedures Step 1 Warm-up Teacher will show some photos of fruit and drinks on the PowerPoint. Students recognize them and teacher will asks what is student’s favorite. What is your favorite fruit? Apple orange strawberry banana pear What is your favorite drink? Water tea coffee milk shake juice (Justification: Asking the students to review the words related to fruit and drinks. Students will prepare for the coming dialog. This step will greatly stimulate students’ interests through activity. ) Step 2 Pre-listening The teacher will play the audio three times and students asked to take notes. And then watch video Questions: Do you like milk shake ? What do we need ? How do we make it? Tips: blender peer cut up put in pour into turn on (Justifiction:This tape can improve students’ ability of listening for specific information and enhance their speaking ability.)
