一、现在进行时的被动语态的基本概述
1.含义
现在进行时的被动语态表示现在或现阶段正在进行或发生的被动动作,强调主语是动作的承受者。
2.结构
(1)肯定式:be(am/is/are)+being done
◆A birthday party is being held in the living room now.
现在,客厅里正在举办生日聚会。
(2)否定式:be(am/is/are)+not+being done
◆It is reported that the water in the lake is not being protected well now.
据报道,现在这个湖里的水没有得到很好的保护。
(3)一般疑问式:be(am/is/are)+主语+being done
◆Are the babies being taken care of by this nurse?
这些婴儿正由这名护士照看吗?
(4)特殊疑问式:特殊疑问词+be(am/is/are)+主语+being done
◆Who is being trained for the coming English speech contest?
谁在为了即将举行的英语演讲比赛接受训练呢?
二、现在进行时的被动语态的用法
1.表示说话时正在进行或发生的被动动作。句中常用now,at the moment等时间状语。
◆My car is now being repaired in the garage.
我的汽车现在正在修理厂修理。
2.表示现阶段正在进行或发生的被动动作,但该动作在说话的瞬间未必正在进行。
◆It is reported that many new houses are being built at present in the disaster area.
据报道,现在灾区有很多新房子正在建造中。
3.表示习惯性的被动行为,常与 always,constantly,frequently等副词连用,往往带有夸奖、羡慕、埋怨、讨厌等感情色彩。
◆Tom is always being praised by the teacher because of his diligence.
因为他的勤奋,汤姆总是被老师表扬。
4.与情态动词连用,表示对正在发生的事情的推测。
◆—Do you know what Mr. Smith is doing?
——你知道史密斯先生正在做什么吗?
—He is ill.He may be being examined by the doctor.
——他病了。他可能正在接受医生的检查。

(2)我感到非常吃惊的是,我们教室的那扇窗户经常被打破。
I feel very surprised that the window of our classroom is always being broken .

Our English teacher may be being interviewed by the reporter at the very moment.
三、使用现在进行时的被动语态注意要点
1.在现在进行时的被动语态中,be(am/is/are)为第一助动词,being为第二助动词,缺一不可,且位置不可互换。此结构若缺少being,则就成为一般现在时的被动语态或系表结构。
◆The moving story is being read by a student in a soft voice.
这个感人的故事正在由一名学生轻声读着。
◆The moving story is read well by a student.
一名学生将这个感人的故事读得很好。(一般现在时的被动语态)
2.像take care of,look after,talk about,think of等“动词+介词”构成的短语用于现在进行时的被动语态时,其中的介词不可省略。
◆Look!The children are being taken care of by their aunt.
瞧!那些孩子正由他们的姨妈照看着。
3.一些表示状态、拥有、存在或心理活动的动词如stay,love,have,want,need,realize,belong to等,一般不用于现在进行时的被动语态,而常用一般现在时的被动语态来表达。
◆Smartphone is becoming more and more popular. In other words,it is loved by more and more people.
智能手机越来越流行了。换句话说,它被越来越多的人所喜爱。
4.“be(am/is/are)+under/in+名词”有时可相当于现在进行时的被动语态。
◆The school is under construction now.(=The school is being built now.)
现在学校正在建设中。

(3)我缺乏与他人交流的能力,因此在比赛中失败了。
① Lacking the skill to communicate with others , I failed in the competition. (分词短语作状语)
② For lack of the skill to communicate with others , I failed in the competition. (介词短语)
(1)lack作名词时,后常接介词of;作及物动词时,直接加宾语;作不及物动词时,后常接介词for;
(2)lacking为形容词,一般不放在名词前。
Ⅰ.句型转换
1.The boys and girls are decorating the classrooms.(改为被动句)
→ The classrooms are being decorated by the boys and girls .
2.My mom is making the best cake in the world now.Please wait an hour to enjoy it.(改为被动句)
→ The best cake in the world is being made by my mom now.Please wait an hour to enjoy it .
3.The teacher is grading the students' schoolwork now.(改为被动句)
→ The students' schoolwork is being graded by the teacher now .
4.Whether to build a new freeway is still being considered.
→ Whether to build a new freeway is still under consideration .(用“be+介词+名词”替换被动语态)
5.The children's paintings are being exhibited at the school.(用“be+介词+名词”替换被动语态)
→ The children's paintings are on exhibition at the school .
Ⅱ.语法与写作
1.The classroom is being decorated (正在被装饰) with balloons and flowers right now and the students are preparing for the New Year Party.
2.—What are you going to do this weekend?
—I'm going to an exhibition of photographs which is being held (正在举行) these days.
3.I am being treated (正在接受治疗) at the hospital now, so I cannot go to the cinema at present.
4.It is believed that a new kind of drug is being developed (正在研制中) by the scientists.
5.Most of the buildings destroyed in the earthquake are being rebuilt (正在被重建).
