Spring Festival In the eyes of Chinese people, it is the second-biggest festival after the Chinese New Year. It's a time when families come together to appreciate the full moon and eat mooncakes. Mid-Autumn Festival It falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It is a festival for the Chinese to commemorate（纪念） the ancient poet Qu Yuan. Children normally wear scented sachets（香包） stringed with five-color thread to ward off evil（辟邪）. The Dragon Boat Festival It is a time for the Chinese people to pay respect to their ancestors（祭拜祖先）. Because the weather is nice and warm during the period of this festival, people usually go out to appreciate the beautiful sceneries of spring or have a picnic with their families. In some places, people eat cold food（吃寒食） or a kind of sweet green rice ball called “Qing Tuan” during this festival.
