With snow mountains around, a group of sheep are enjoying the warm sunshine and eating grass in the field. This is a scene from the TV series (连续剧) To the Wonder, which has become popular since it came out on May 7.
The series is from My Altay, a book written by a Chinese writer Li Juan. It tells the story of Li Wenxiu, a young woman who met some problems at work in Beijing. Then she returned to her hometown Altay to live with her mother, Zhang Fengxia. Zhang has lived in Altay for years and she lives a life true to herself.

Li Wenxiu, for example, always dreams of becoming a writer. Although she meets many difficulties, she never gives up writing. As she lives in Altay, she writes about her feelings and experiences. Finally she realizes her dream and gets happiness. People are moved by her spirit and they raise courage (勇气) to chase their own dreams.
When people ask Teng Congcong, the director of the series, about the reasons of making the series, she told New Weekly magazine, “People travel around to see the world and to look for the meaning of life. But the fact is that, we need to look inside, to search for a sense of peace and satisfaction and to realize our own dreams.” It is probably this connection (连接) with one’s inner (内心) world and search for true beauty that makes the series successful.

Molly Bremner is very short and thin, but she has a heart as big as the sky. This 9-year-old girl is from Melbourne, Australia. She likes running in her free time. And she has been running for as long as her mother Angela can remember. “When Molly started walking, she was at one speed (速度), which was full speed,” Angela said. “She didn’t walk. She just ran everywhere.”
Usually, from Monday to Friday, Molly runs 6 km a day after school and on weekends she runs 21 km. Now she is in training to run 625 km in 16 days from Melbourne to Canberra. The activity will start next month. Molly plans to run it for a children’s hospital and raise money for children with brain illness.
According to Angela, the brain illness sadly took the life of Molly’s sister, Phoebe, when their big sister Lucy was just two years old. Molly is the only person in the whole family who never got to meet Phoebe because she died before Molly was born. “She doesn’t feel good and it was her idea to run for a children’s hospital. It’s something she wants to do for Phoebe,” said Angela.
Molly now can run 42 km in five hours and 59 minutes. And when she goes for her normal 21-km run, it’s like a slow walk for her and it takes her two hours and 45 minutes. She doesn’t get out of breath and talks to her mother the whole time. Her mother rides the bike alongside her. Molly’s father Chris will also be nearby with his car if they need it. Molly’s big sister, Lucy, sometimes runs with Molly. Lucy is athletic, too. She is fit and healthy, but she’s not a runner like Molly. She likes ball sports, like tennis and baseball.
Since Molly has raised much money, she says she will continue running to do as much as she can for the sick children in the hospital.
