·Play the video of the passage for the whole class.
·Invite five students to read the passage paragraph by paragraph loudly. After reading, encourage them to translate each paragraph based on their understanding.
Language points:
1.At this moment, in different places of the world, people are doing different things. 此刻,在世界的不同地方,人们正在做着不同的事情。
短语:at this/ the moment = right now 现在,此刻(通常和现在进行时搭配)
e.g. They are sitting under the tree at this/ the moment. 此刻,他们正坐在树下。
2.Some people are driving home. 有些人正在开车回家。
drive v.驾驶,开车
*drive (sb.) to + 地点 开车(送某人)去某地
*当drive后为地点副词(home/ here/ there等)时,不加介词to。
e.g. Mr Smith is driving me to the airport. 史密斯先生正在开车送我去机场。
Do you usually drive there? 你通常开车去那里吗?
3.Thank you for your postcard from the Great Wall. 谢谢你从长城寄过来的明信片。
短语:thank you for (doing) sth. = thanks for (doing)sth. 因做某事而感谢某人
e.g. Thank you for your help. = Thanks for your help.
= Thank you for helping me.
= Thanks for helping me. 谢谢你的帮助。
常用答语:Not at all. /You're welcome. /That's all right.别客气
4.现在进行时(一)
(1)现在进行时的概念
*表示说话时正在进行或发生的动作,句中常有look, listen, now, at the moment等标志词,或有表示现在的上下文语境。
e.g. I 'm cleaning my room now. 我现在正在打扫我的房间。
*表示当前一段时间内或现阶段正在进行的动作/事情,句中常有these days, this week, this term等标志词。
e.g. We're working hard this term. 这学期我们正努力学习。
He is reading the book these days. 这几天他正在读这本书。
(2)现在进行时的构成:主语 + be + V.ing + 其他
(be根据主语不同,有am, is , are三种形式)
e.g. I am talking with the teacher. 我正在和老师谈话。
The girl is listening to the music. 这个女孩正在听音乐。
The boys are playing football. 男孩们正在踢足球。
肯定句:主语 + be + V.ing + 其他.
否定句:主语 + be + not + V.ing + 其他.
一般疑问句:Be + 主语 + V.ing + 其他?
肯定回答:Yes, 主语+ be.
否定回答:No, 主语 + be not.
e.g. Lily is doing her homework now.
Lily is not doing her homework now.
Is Lily doing her homework now?
(3)现在进行时的标志词
*此时此刻:now/ at the moment/ It’s+几点钟
e.g. It’s six o’clock. The children are playing basketball.
*提示语:Listen./ Look./ Keep quiet./ Don’t make noise!
e.g. Keep quiet! The teachers are talking in the office.
*持续进行:these days/ all the time
e.g. Uncle Wang is building a small room for his dog these days.
·The teacher leads the whole class to make a summary about these language points.
