However, museums around the world are digitizing their collections, enabling people to tour the museums from afar. The British Museum, London The British Museum contains objects from around the world, including the Rosetta Stone, with three versions of a text that helped researchers learn to read ancient Egyptian. The Great Court’s ceiling, in the middle of the museum, is composed of 3212 pieces of glass, none of which are alike. The virtual tour of the museum offers a 360-degree view of the room, allowing visitors to look at every piece. MASP, S ão Paulo The first modern museum in Brazil, the Museu de Arte de São Paulo includes art from the 14th to the 20th centuries. The paintings, which are placed on glass panels, appear to be floating in mid-air. This setup, included in the virtual tour shows, makes the art appear almost magical. National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea This Korean museum includes four branches in different cities and features works of art from Korea and around the world. The art includes a variety of media such as print, sculpture and photography. There are also online exhibitions such as “Artists in Their Times” which traces trends in Korean art since the late 1970s. The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles County This museum, with locations in two different places, features art going back to The Neolithic Period. Its virtual tour, accessible through Google Arts & Culture, offers views of more recent works, including some by van Gogh and Renoir. Another platform, Xplorlt, also features views of some of the museum’s outdoor spaces. 1. What can we learn about The British Museum? A. It is best known for the Rosetta Stone. B. It tells the changes of ancient Egyptian. C. It is made up of several pieces of glass. D. It houses exhibits from different countries. 2 Which museum may suit visitors interested in van Gogh’s works? A. The British Museum. B. MASP, São Paulo. C. National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. D. The J. Paul Getty Museum. 3. What do the listed museums have in common? A. They have several branches. B. They display their paintings in mid-air. C. They can be visited in your own home. D. They are accessible on Google Arts & Culture. D 2. D 3. 根据第二段中“The British Museum contains objects from around the world, including the Rosetta Stone, with three versions of a text that helped researchers learn to read ancient Egyptian.(大英博物馆收藏了来自世界各地的物品,包括罗塞塔石碑,其中有三种文本版本,帮助研究人员学习阅读古埃及语)”可知,大英博物馆容纳了来自不同国家的展品。 根据最后一段中“Its virtual tour, accessible through Google Arts & Culture, offers views of more recent works, including some by van Gogh and Renoir.(通过谷歌艺术与文化网站的虚拟之旅,可以看到更多的近期作品,包括梵高和雷诺阿的一些作品)”可知,保罗盖蒂博物馆适合对梵高作品感兴趣的游客。 根据第二段中“The virtual tour of the museum offers a 360-degree view of the room, allowing visitors to look at every piece. (虚拟的博物馆之旅提供了360度的房间视野,让游客可以看到每一件作品)”;第三段中“This setup, included in the virtual tour shows, makes the art appear almost magical. (这种设置,包括在虚拟巡回展览中,使艺术看起来几乎是神奇的)”;第四段中“There are also online exhibitions such as “Artists in Their Times” which traces trends in Korean art since the late 1970s. (在网上也有追溯70年代末以后韩国美术动向的“时代艺术家”等展览)”以及最后一段中“Its virtual tour, accessible through Google Arts & Culture, offers views of more recent works, including some by van Gogh and Renoir.(通过谷歌艺术与文化网站的虚拟之旅,可以看到更多的近期作品,包括梵高和雷诺阿的一些作品)”可知,列出的博物馆的共同之处是可以在你自己家里参观它们。故选C。 B My father really dislikes my stepfather, Mike, and is always calling him names, saying what a “good-for-nothing” guy he is. Mike knows about his name-calling because sometimes when my father comes to pick me up, he’ll say inconsiderate things right in front of my stepfather like, “Is what’s-his-name going to pick you up after the game, or am I supposed to bring you home?” Even though it’s rude, my stepfather doesn’t hold it against my father. “I’ll pick up Shawn at 3:30,” he’ll answer. Nor does Mike make a big deal out of my father’s inconsiderate attitude towards him. He lets the comments go. I ask my stepfather if the way my father treats him bothers or upsets him. “Oh, not really,” he says. “You don’t always have to be right, as long as you do what’s right.” My father’s taunts (嘲笑) don’t bother Mike because he likes himself. My dad’s opinion doesn’t change the way Mike feels about himself. I really admire Mike. He’s so good to my mother. And what a good father he is to me! I appreciate all the things he does for me, like teaching me to throw a fastball and helping me with my homework without becoming impatient like my father does. Mike even volunteered at my school’s carnival (狂欢节) this year. No other stepfathers were there. Though I would never tell my real father that I think my stepfather is one of the nicest guys I know, he is. I’m happy to make Mike my stepfather. Sometimes, I even call Mike “Dad” because he acts like a dad to me. In my eyes, my stepfather is a really great guy. 4. Why is the writer’s father rude to Mike? A. Mike is hated by him. B. Mike is a good-for-nothing. C. Mike treats his ex-wife badly. D. Mike likes to call him names. 5. What does the underlined sentence mean in Paragraph 2? A. Mike never deals with the problems that he faces. B. Mike never runs a business with the writer’s father. C. Mike doesn’t express his anger on the writer’s father. D. Mike ignores what the writer’s father says and does. 6. What can be known from Paragraph 4? A. The writer is a poor boy and has several stepfathers. B. The writer’s real father doesn’t like sports as much as Mike. C. Mike is as good to the writer’s mother as the writer’s real father. D. Mike is more patient with the writer than the writer’s real father. 7. Which can best describe the writer’s attitude to his real father? A. Rude but patient. B. Admiring and respectful. C. Caring but disapproving. D. Disgusted and unconcerned. A 5. D 6. D 7. 根据第一段中“My father really dislikes my stepfather, Mike, and is always calling him names, saying what a “good-for-nothing” guy he is. (我父亲非常不喜欢我的继父Mike,总是骂他,说他是个一无是处的家伙)”可知,作者的亲生父亲对继父Mike很粗鲁是因为讨厌他。故选A项。 根据画线句的上文“Even though it’s rude, my stepfather doesn’t hold it against my father. “I’ll pick up Shawn at 3:30,” he’ll answer. (虽然这很粗鲁,但我的继父并没有因此而反驳我父亲。他会回答:“我三点半接Shawn。”)”和下文“He lets the comments go. (他没有理会那些评论)”可知,作者的继父Mike没有反驳作者亲生父亲的话,没有理会他恶意的评价。由此推知,画线句表示“Mike没有把我父亲对他不体谅的态度当回事”,即忽视作者亲生父亲的言行。故选D项。 【6题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段中“I appreciate all the things he does for me, like teaching me to throw a fastball and helping me with my homework without becoming impatient like my father does. (我很感激他为我做的一切,比如教我投快球,帮助我做作业,而不是像我父亲那样变得不耐烦)”可知,Mike对作者很好,比作者的亲生父亲更有耐心。故选D项。 【7题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段中“Though I would never tell my real father that I think my stepfather is one of the nicest guys I know, he is. (虽然我永远不会告诉我的亲生父亲,我认为我的继父是我认识的最好的人之一,但他确实是)”可知,作者认为继父Mike是很好的人,但是会顾及亲生父亲的感受,不会告诉亲生父亲这个真实的想法。由此可知,作者不认同亲生父亲粗鲁的言行,但是内心是关心他的。故选C项。 C Recently, four professors of neuroscience were awarded the Brain Prize for their lifechanging contributions to the research on migraines(偏头痛), a disease previously not understood well. Professor Michael Moskowitz from Harvard Medical School, Peter Goadsby from King’s College London, Lars Edvinsson from Lund University in Sweden, and Jes Olesen from Rigshospitalet, Denmark, were celebrated as the recipients of the Brain Prize, the world’s most distinguished award highlighting achievements in brain research. The Crown Prince of Denmark presented the four professors with a grand prize of roughly 1. 5 million dollars on October 25 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Migraines remain one of the most serious and common neurological illnesses millions around the world suffer. Studies show that women are three times more likely to experience frequent and intense migraines than men, and symptoms can last up to 24 hours. Typically, these intense head-throbbing pains are also accompanied by vomiting(呕吐), dizziness and sensitivity to sound, light, and touch. After over forty years of research, the four professors pinpointed the major cause-chemicals released within the brain. Previously, the main causes of migraines were thought to be stress, pressure or anxiety. In 1979, Professor Michael Moskowitz discovered that headaches occur when thin nerves are found in our head and face to interact with a highly-sensitive membrane(膜) surrounding our brain, releasing chemicals called neuropeptidee. These chemicals can then cause the blood vessels in our head to expand and also send pain signals to the brain. Later, research by Professor Goadsby and Edvinsson revealed that the specific neuropeptide which plays the central role in causing the intense headache is calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP). Then, Professor Olesen’s work further confirmed that CGRP is indeed responsible for the pain, rather than a chemical produced in the brain as a result of the migraines. The work by these scientists paves the way for developing more effective medicine. While past treatments can only temporarily stop the pain, scientists say that the newly developed drugs not only prevent migraines but also don’t cause the harmful side effects patients had to endure. 8. Who received the grand prize in the country where he works? A. Lars Edvinsson. B. Michael Moskowitz C. Jes Olesen. D. Peter Goadsby. 9. What do we know about migraines? A. Females’ chance of getting migraines is higher than males’. B. Vomiting, dizziness and sensitivity lead to migraines. C Migraines are a rare and strange illness. D. All the symptoms of intense migraines last 24 hours. 10. What is the major cause of migraines? A. Chemical called neuropeptides. B. Interactions between thin nerves. C. Stress. pressure or anxiety. D. A highly-sensitive membrane. 11. In which section of a newspaper may this text appear? A. Literature. B. Psychology. C. Medicine. D. Culture. C 9. A 10. A 11. 根据文中第二段“Professor Michael Moskowitz from Harvard Medical School, Peter Goadsby from King’s College London, Lars Edvinsson from Lund University in Sweden, and Jes Olesen from Rigshospitalet, Denmark, were celebrated as the recipients of the Brain Prize(哈佛大学医学院的迈克尔·莫斯科维茨教授、伦敦国王学院的彼得·戈德比、瑞典隆德大学的拉斯·埃德文森以及丹麦国家医院的耶斯·奥勒森被授予大脑奖)”以及“The Crown Prince of Denmark presented the four professors with a grand prize of roughly 1.5 million dollars on October 25 in Copenhagen, Denmark.( 丹麦王储于10月25日在丹麦哥本哈根向这四位教授颁发了大约150万美元的大奖)”可知,Jes Olesen在其工作的国家丹麦获得了大奖。 根据文中第三段“Studies show that women are three times more likely to experience frequent and intense migraines than men(研究表明,女性比男性更容易频繁且严重地遭受偏头痛的困扰)”可知,女性患偏头痛的几率高于男性。故选A项。 根据文中第四段“After over forty years of research, the four professors pinpointed the major cause - chemicals released within the brain(经过四十多年研究,四位教授指出了主要因素——大脑内释放的化学物质)”以及“Later, research by Professor Goadsby and Edvinsson revealed that the specific neuropeptide which plays the central role in causing the intense headache is calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).(后来,戈兹比教授和埃德文森的研究揭示了引起剧烈头痛的中心特定神经肽是降钙素基因相关肽(CGRP))”可知,偏头痛的主要原因是一种叫做神经肽的化学物质。故选A项。 根据第一段“Recently, four professors of neuroscience were awarded the Brain Prize for their lifechanging contributions to the research on migraines(偏头痛), a disease previously not understood well(最近,四位神经科学教授因其对偏头痛研究的重大贡献而获得了大脑奖,这是一种之前并不被很好理解的疾病)”、第二段“Professor Michael Moskowitz from Harvard Medical School, Peter Goadsby from King’s College London, Lars Edvinsson from Lund University in Sweden, and Jes Olesen from Rigshospitalet, Denmark, were celebrated as the recipients of the Brain Prize(哈佛大学医学院的迈克尔·莫斯科维茨教授、伦敦国王学院的彼得·戈德比、瑞典隆德大学的拉斯·埃德文森以及丹麦国家医院的耶斯·奥勒森被授予大脑奖)”以及最后一段“The work by these scientists paves the way for developing more effective medicine. While past treatments can only temporarily stop the pain, scientists say that the newly developed drugs not only prevent migraines but also don’t cause the harmful side effects patients had to endure.( 这些科学家的工作为开发更有效的药物铺平了道路。虽然过去的治疗只能暂时缓解疼痛,但科学家们说,新开发的药物不仅能够预防偏头痛,而且不会造成患者不得不忍受的有害副作用)”可知,本文主要讲述了关于偏头痛的研究成果及治疗进展,与医学相关,所以可能出现在报纸的医学版块。故选C项。 D People have been predicting the death of cable TV (有线电视) for a long time, but this really might be it. Just a decade ago, nearly all Americans—more than 85 percent of U. S. households-paid for packages of TV channels from cable or satellite companies. That started to drop slowly at first and then far more quickly in the past few years. Now, the share of American homes that pay for traditional TV service is approaching 50 percent, according to expert Craig Moffett and S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Kagan research group. For comparison, cellphones were around for decades before the percentage of Americans who didn’t have a fixed phone at home reached 50 percent, around 2017. Maybe it seems predictable that cable TV would go the way of the fixed phone. I promise you that it was not necessarily obvious, even once Netflix started to take off. Old habits die hard. Old industries that make a lot of people rich die even harder. And don’t forget that some new technology habits catch on fast but don’t stick. What may be a final drop in America’s cable TV industry is a big deal. It shows that technology can change deep-rooted ways of doing things slowly, and then suddenly. Ian Olgeirson, a research director at Kagan who has been following America’s TV market for about 20 years, told me that he was surprised by how quickly the monthly cable bill went from being standard to outdated for many Americans. Olgeirson and other TV experts I’ve been speaking to didn’t single out a turning point in cable TV’s big drop. They said the downward trend (趋势) was more like a series of progressive changes building up. It’s clear that the cable TV system that for decades brought joy and headaches to tens of millions of Americans is wearing thin. The unknown is whether Americans keep turning away from cable and satellite TV relatively slowly, or whether it will fail suddenly. I have always loved TV. I felt like a real grown-up when I first started to pay a huge bill for television, partly to watch my favourite football team. I had reduced my cable TV package, but then a few months ago I was told that my bill was going to increase by about $10 a month. That was it. I’m a no-cable household now, too. 12. What does Paragraph 1 mainly tell us about cable TV? A. Its various TV channels. B. Its high service standard. C. Its falling popularity. D. Its increasing payments. 13. Why does the author mention cellphones and fixed phones in Paragraph 2? A To illustrate there is no market left for cable TV. B. To explain technology can bring fortune to people. C. To prove technology can change the world. D. To show it is not easy for cable TV to go away 14. Which of the following is beyond Olgeirson’s expectations? A. Americans turned away from cable TV so quickly. B. There are still many Americans showing interest in cable TV. C. America’s TV market was down suddenly. D. The death of cable TV will come in about 20 years. 15. What would be the best title for the text? A. Cable TV Brought Joy to Americans B. Cable TV Won’t Be Replaced by Satellite TV C. Cable TV Has Existed for Decades D. Cable TV Is the New Fixed Phone 【答案】12. C 13. D 14. A 15. 根据第一段“People have been predicting the death of cable TV (有线电视) for a long time, but this really might be it. Just a decade ago, nearly all Americans—more than 85 percent of U. S. households-paid for packages of TV channels from cable or satellite companies. That started to drop slowly at first and then far more quickly in the past few years. Now, the share of American homes that pay for traditional TV service is approaching 50 percent, according to expert Craig Moffett and S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Kagan research group.(很长一段时间以来,人们一直在预测有线电视的死亡,但这真的可能是它。就在十年前,几乎所有的美国人——超过85%的美国家庭——都为有线电视或卫星电视公司的电视频道套餐付费。这一比例开始缓慢下降,但在过去几年里下降速度要快得多。据专家克雷格·莫菲特和标准普尔全球市场情报公司的卡根研究小组称,现在,付费收看传统电视服务的美国家庭比例接近50%)”可知,第一段主要告诉了我们有线电视“受欢迎程度的下降”。故选C。 【13题详解】 推理判断题。根据第二段中“For comparison, cellphones were around for decades before the percentage of Americans who didn’t have a fixed phone at home reached 50 percent, around 2017. Maybe it seems predictable that cable TV would go the way of the fixed phone. I promise you that it was not necessarily obvious, even once Netflix started to take off. Old habits die hard.(相比之下,在2017年左右没有固定电话的美国人比例达到50%之前,手机已经存在了几十年。有线电视将步固定电话的后尘,这似乎是可以预见的。我向你保证,这并不一定是显而易见的,即使是在Netflix开始腾飞的时候。旧习难改。)”可知,作者在第二段之所以提到手机和座机,是为了表明“要让有线电视消失并不容易。”。故选D。 【14题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“Ian Olgeirson, a research director at Kagan who has been following America’s TV market for about 20 years, told me that he was surprised by how quickly the monthly cable bill went from being standard to outdated for many Americans. Olgeirson and other TV experts I’ve been speaking to didn’t single out a turning point in cable TV’s big drop.(Kagan的研究主管伊恩·奥尔格森(Ian Olgeirson)跟踪美国电视市场已有20年之久,他告诉我,对许多美国人来说,每月的有线电视账单从标准到过时的速度之快让他感到惊讶。Olgeirson和与我交谈过的其他电视专家并没有指出有线电视大幅下滑的转折点。)”可知,“美国人很快就放弃了有线电视”超出了Olgeirson的预期。故选A。 根据第一段中“People have been predicting the death of cable TV (有线电视) for a long time, but this really might be it. Just a decade ago, nearly all Americans—more than 85 percent of U. S. households-paid for packages of TV channels from cable or satellite companies.(很长一段时间以来,人们一直在预测有线电视的死亡,但事实可能就是这样。就在十年前,几乎所有的美国人——超过85%的美国家庭——都为有线电视或卫星电视公司的电视频道套餐付费。)”和第二段“For comparison, cellphones were around for decades before the percentage of Americans who didn’t have a fixed phone at home reached 50 percent, around 2017. Maybe it seems predictable that cable TV would go the way of the fixed phone. I promise you that it was not necessarily obvious, even once Netflix started to take off. Old habits die hard.(相比之下,在2017年左右没有固定电话的美国人比例达到50%之前,手机已经存在了几十年。有线电视将步固定电话的后尘,这似乎是可以预见的。我向你保证,这并不一定是显而易见的,即使是在Netflix开始腾飞的时候。旧习难改。)”可知,有线电视就像固定电话一样经历了兴衰。所以本文最佳标题是“Cable TV Is the New Fixed Phone(有线电视是新的固定电话)”。 Birds are an important part of our ecosystem. But they are especially vulnerable (易受伤害的) to changes in their environment, like ground, water, and air pollution. Luckily, it’s easy to take part in bird conversation. ___16___ There are a few steps you can take to help save birds. Keep cats indoors. ___17___ Pet cats do not have to go outside to hunt in order to have a good life. Some people think that putting a small bell around a cat’s neck will warn birds and protect them, but this does not work as well as simply keeping your kitty inside. Mark windows. Sometimes, glass can reflect the outdoors like a mirror. ___18___ The level of impact is sometimes so heavy that some end up dead. Marking windows is a simple yet effective solution. It’s best to use decals and frosted glass (贴纸和磨砂玻璃) to keep birds away from glass. ___19___ In parts of the country where winters are cold, birds sometimes struggle to find enough food when the temperature drops or snow covers the ground. Putting up bird feeders, or even throwing bird food on the ground, can greatly help the birds that are living nearby. Place rubbish in suitable bins. Throwing away things in the open usually leads to birds attempting to eat whatever has been thrown away, sometimes including materials such as paper and plastics. This could end up harming the birds or causing diseases. ___20___ A. Plant native plants for birds. B. Feed birds in your yard or on your roof. C. Cats may regard birds as potential friends. D. Every year, cats kill millions of wild birds. E. Birds can’t tell that the glass is there and they fly right into it. F. Putting household waste in right places reduces these problems. G. Like anything, some of your most helpful actions begin at home. G 17. D 18. E 19. B 20. 【16题详解】 由下文“There are a few steps you can take to help save birds. (你可以采取一些措施来帮助拯救鸟类。)”可知,本空要说跟“帮助拯救鸟类”有关的话题,故G选项“Like anything, some of your most helpful actions begin at home. (就像任何事情一样,你的一些最有益的行动都是从家里开始的。)”能引起下文,符合题意。故选G。 【17题详解】 由上文“Keep cats indoors. (把猫养在室内。)”可知,本空要说跟“把猫养在室内的原因”有关的话题,故D选项“Every year, cats kill millions of wild birds. (每年,猫杀死数百万只野生鸟类。)”能承接上文,符合题意。故选D。 18题详解】 由下文“The level of impact is sometimes so heavy that some end up dead. Marking windows is a simple yet effective solution. It’s best to use decals and frosted glass (贴纸和磨砂玻璃) to keep birds away from glass. (撞击的程度有时是如此之重,以至于一些鸟最终死亡。标记窗口是一个简单而有效的解决方案。最好使用贴花和磨砂玻璃来防止鸟类靠近玻璃。)”可知,本空要说跟“标记窗口的原因”有关的话题,故E选项“Birds can’t tell that the glass is there and they fly right into it. (鸟看不出玻璃在那里,它们直接飞到里面)”能引起下文,符合题意。故选E。 【19题详解】 由下文“In parts of the country where winters are cold, birds sometimes struggle to find enough food when the temperature drops or snow covers the ground. Putting up bird feeders, or even throwing bird food on the ground, can greatly help the birds that are living nearby. (在这个国家冬季寒冷的部分地区,当气温下降或地面被雪覆盖时,鸟类有时很难找到足够的食物。放置鸟类喂食器,甚至把鸟食扔在地上,可以极大地帮助生活在附近的鸟类。)”可知,本空要说跟“喂食鸟类”有关的话题,故B选项“Feed birds in your yard or on your roof. (在院子里或屋顶上喂鸟)”能引起下文,符合题意。故选B。 【20题详解】 由上文“Place rubbish in suitable bins. Throwing away things in the open usually leads to birds attempting to eat whatever has been thrown away, sometimes including materials such as paper and plastics. Playing was my love. While most kids were outside in the burning summer sun, playing childish games, I was happy to sit in the cool indoors for hours practising my beloved piano. When I played, I felt like I was in a whole new world where I was free and easy. All I had to worry about was my music. Playing was never boring for me. I had spent months practising and the big day finally came. It was the day of the Alberta Music Competition. The music hall was packed with excited audience. I sat in the first row with my mother seated beside me. As the fellow competitors were playing. I couldn’t keep my mind on their music. I was just memorizing the notes and practising the fingerings. I had known my music was like the back of my hand. But this time, to my great surprise, I found my fingers completely out of my control. They kept shaking. I nearly burst into tears. Seeing this, Mum held my hands tightly in hers. She even breathed into them as if she wanted to warm them up. Then she whispered to my ear, “Sweetie, take it easy. Just listen and enjoy the music.” I looked up and turned my attention to the competitor in the centre of the stage for the first time. A thin and tall boy was sitting at the beautiful red piano. He looked calm and confident. His fingertips danced on the keyboard. The soft and gentle sound of the piano flew in the air. For a moment, I totally forgot my nervousness. Then I was announced to play next and I felt anxious again. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 It seemed that thousands of butterflies were really flying in my stomach. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I could clearly feel the disappointment from the crowd’s deep sigh (叹息). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】It seemed that thousands of butterflies were really flying in my stomach. My mother gave me a pat on the back and said softly, “Just enjoy it, honey!” I found encouragement and confidence in her eyes. I got up, climbed up the stage steps and bowed to the audience. I tried my best to keep calm. I slowly placed my hands on the keyboard, took a deep breath and started to play. To my delight, everything seemed unbelievably smooth. I could clearly feel the disappointment from the crowd's deep sigh (叹息). “Just enjoy it!” Mum's words echoed in my ears. I continued playing as if nothing had happened. Soon I found myself absorbed in the familiar music world again. Eventually, when I finished my last note, the crowd all stood up with applause and cheering, which was totally out of my expectation. Though I didn't win the champion, I knew I had learned something more valuable. I realized that learning to enjoy music was more important than the competition itself. 喜欢:enjoy/love/be fond of ②.深呼吸:take a deep breath/breathe deeply ③.沉浸于:absorbed in/buried in 情绪类 ①.令人高兴的是:to one's delight/to one's joy ②.感到失望:feel the disappointment /feed disappointed 【点睛】[高分句型1]. There are also online exhibitions such as “Artists in Their Times” which traces trends in Korean art since the late 1970s. The J. A. Mike ignores what the writer’s father says and does. 6. What can be known from Paragraph 4? A The writer is a poor boy and has several stepfathers. B. The writer’s real father doesn’t like sports as much as Mike. C. Mike is as good to the writer’s mother as the writer’s real father. D. Mike is more patient with the writer than the writer’s real father. 7. Which can best describe the writer’s attitude to his real father? A. Rude but patient. B. Admiring and respectful. C. Caring but disapproving. D. Disgusted and unconcerned. C Recently, four professors of neuroscience were awarded the Brain Prize for their lifechanging contributions to the research on migraines(偏头痛), a disease previously not understood well. 8. D People have been predicting the death of cable TV (有线电视) for a long time, but this really might be it. A. To illustrate there is no market left for cable TV. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
