What:
本课语篇是大明和琳达之间的对话;对话的主要内容是大明向琳达询问英国学校教室的样子,如班级人数、家具、电脑、图片等信息,同时也对自己教室的部分内容做了一些介绍。
Why:
本课的对话内容为中国学生大明询问英国学生琳达她的教室内部的一些信息,学生通过本课的学习,能够了解到中国教室和英国教室内部的一些异同,培养了跨文化意识;同时通过描述自己的教室,培养了他们热爱学校、热爱家园的意识。
How:
本课的对话内容主要通过there be 句型来呈现,学生通过本课对话的听与说,能够基本掌握用there be句型描述某地有或没有什么物品。
Teaching goals:
1. Students will be able to use there be structure to describe the pictures in the textbook as well as their own classroom.
2. Students will be able to read and spell the numbers and think about the characteristics of the spelling of the numbers.
3. Students will be able to listen and understand the conversation about class and classroom and get key information needed to describe a classroom.
4. Students will be able to talk about their classroom based on the real situation and also imagine what their ideal classroom is like.

目标1:
Students will be able to use there be structure to describe the pictures in the textbook as well as their own classroom.
1. The teacher leads stdents to read and revise the words to describe a classroom in Activity 1.
2. Students are guided to use there be structure to talk about the three pictures and find their differences. They are also encouraged to describe their classroom.
观察学生是否能够使用there be 句型和书本所给词汇描述书中图片以及自己的教室的部分信息。
Purpose:
复习词汇和句型,导入本课话题,为下面的听力做准备。

目标2:
Students will be able to read and spell the numbers and think about the characteristics of the spelling of the numbers.
3. Students listen and repeat the numbers in Activity 5 and then match the words with the numbers in Activity 6. They are invited to pay attention to “ty” and “-” when writing about numbers.
观察学生是否能够正确读出这些数字并且能将阿拉伯数字与英语迅速配对。
Purpose:
帮助学生掌握两位数的数词的读法和写法,同时为下面的听力做准备。

目标3:
Students will be able to listen and understand the conversation about class and classroom and get key information needed to describe a classroom.
4. Students listen to the dialogue in Activity 2 and choose the correct picture in Activity 1.
5. Students listen to the dialogue in Activity 2 and complete the table about the key information of the two students’ classrooms.
6. Students listen again and repeat parts of the dialogue and then the whole class chorally read the dialogue.
7. The teacher leads students to listen to and repeat the phonetic symbols in Activity 4.
8. The teacher explains key language points.
观察学生是否能够根据听力内容选出正确的图片、是否能够完成表格信息,是否能够听后复述出课文的关键信息、是否能够流利地朗读课文。
Purpose:
训练学生从听力材料中获取有关教室情况的关键信息的能力。

目标4:
Students will be able to talk about their classroom based on the real situation and also imagine what their ideal classroom is like.
9. Students work in pairs and write about their classroom using numbers based on the table in Activity 7.
10. Students work in pairs and talk about their ideal classroom and give reasons.
观察学生是否能够使用there be 句型和所学的词汇、数字描述自己真实的教室、并畅想自己理想中的教室是什么样子的。
Purpose:
在真实的语境中,促使学生将所学知识进行内化和输出。
