课题 (Lesson title) Unit 1 It’s so beautiful!
I. 教材分析 (Analysis of the learning material )
What:本单元主题为“人与社会”,话题为音乐,主要内容是介绍西方古典音乐及音乐家,让学生了解各种不同风格的音乐,表达自己对音乐的认识和喜好,同时引导学生更多地了解中国音乐和音乐家。通过这单元的学习,学生可以更多地了解音乐,热爱音乐,培养审美情趣,陶冶情操,开阔视野,了解西方文化,体会中西方文化差异,建立文化自信。另外,本单元集中呈现了有关音乐的一些常用词汇和表达,方便学生展开话题;语法重点是感叹句、选择疑问句,可以让学生充分讨论及表达对音乐的情感。语篇为大明,玲玲,贝蒂和托尼之前的对话,四人讨论喜欢的音乐,包括西方经典音乐、流行音乐、京剧和摇滚乐,同时提及音乐家斯特劳斯及其代表作《蓝色多瑙河》。
How:对话分别就音乐作曲家及其国籍,音乐喜好,京剧和摇滚乐展开。语言:有关描述音乐的形容词如traditional, fantastic, beautiful,different等;询问音乐喜好的的反义疑问句、选择性疑问句;表达对音乐情感的感叹句式。
Why: 通过学习关于音乐的讨论,让学生学会与他人谈论音乐并表达自己对待不同类型的音乐的态度、喜好。通过学习了解不同的音乐类型,促进学生了解中国传统音乐,激发学生对音乐的热爱,培养对音乐艺术的审美。
教学目标 (Teaching objectives)
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1. 掌握重点单词、短语用法:
noisy, rock, sound, violin, through, both, voice, drum, lively, modern, pop (= popular), Western, hmm, by, opera, believe, musician, centre (=center), century, European, composer, elder, waltz, poor, perfect, piece, classical, another, dance music和sad.
2. 能听懂谈论音乐的简单对话,能判断描述的事实。
3.能用感叹句表达自己的感受。
4.能够读懂简单的描写音乐的短文,掌握短文通篇大意,并学习使用上下文猜测词义的学习方法。

1. 通过看图、听、说活动,引导学生谈论
1. Ask students if they like music. Write “music” on the board an elicit one or two types of music.
2. Tell students to brainstorm all the types of music they know in English in groups of 3-4.
3.New words learning: Show some pictures and get the students say like this:noisy, rock, sound, violin, through, both, voice, drum, lively, modern, pop (= popular), Western, hmm, by, opera, believe, musician, centre (=center), century, European, composer, elder, waltz, poor, perfect, piece, classical, another, dance music,sad.
观察学生对主题的预测,把握学生对主题的熟悉与感兴趣程度。
观察学生回答,引导学生尝试表达,引出主题
师生问答活动,引入“western music”这个话题,从而导入新课。师生之间通过图片谈论来了解本模块主题。进一步了解本模块要学习的内容。

2. 听、读对话,完成相应的情境问题,熟悉对话的基本内容。(应用实践)
4. Listening and vocabulary
(1)Work on activity 1.
1) Tell students to look at the words in the box and repeat them chorally after you.
2)Play the recording.Tell students to number the words as they hear them.
3)Students check their answers in pairs.
(2)Work on Activity 2.
1)Ask students to talk about the questions in pairs and try to guess the answers.
2) Play the recording twice.Tell students to listen an check to see if they were right. Ask them to correct those that are different.
3)Students check in pairs.
4)Elicit answers from the class and ask students to ask why.
(4) Work on Activity 3.
1) Ask students if they know where Germany and Austria are and what languages people speak in these two countries.
2) Students repeat the country names for pronunciation.
3) Tell the class to listen to a new recording and decide what kinds of music they are talking about.
4) Play the recording through twice while the students listen to find the answers.
5) Then they check their answers in pairs.
(5) Work on Activity 4
1) Ask students to read the table, and then go back to the conversation to find the answers.
2) Ask students to underline key information when they find it, then fill in the table.
3) Students talk about the answers and check with their partners.
(6) Work on Activity 5
1) Tell students to read the sentences and then the words in the box.
2) Ask them to complete the sentences individually.
3) Students work in pairs to check their answers.
(7) Work on Activity 6
Complete the sentences about yourself.
(8)Pronunciation and speaking, listen and read.

(9) Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about the music you like or don’t like.
1)Put students into pairs to ask and answer.Tell them they can say what music they really like or don’t like and why.
2)Put students into different pairs to ask again. Then they can ask about each other’s partners.
3)Elicit answers from pairs.
