Teaching design Topic: Unit 2 I’m Wang Lingling and I’m thirteen years old. Type: Reading &writing Discourse study(语篇研读) What: 本课语篇是三个学生的自我介绍。第一段中李大明介绍了自己的中文名、英文名、年龄、家乡以及他的朋友王玲玲的基本信息；第二段中王玲玲介绍了自己的基本信息以及她的朋友王辉的基本信息；第三段中托尼·史密斯介绍了自己的相关信息以及英语中关于姓与名的基本表达方式。 Why: 本课的课文内容都是与结识新朋友有关的信息，比如姓名、年龄、家乡、自己的朋友，学生通过阅读，能够掌握自我介绍与介绍朋友的表达方式，结识朋友，培养良好的人际交流态度，乐于交友。 How: 本课的文段类似学校网站（或橱窗、墙报）里“结识新朋友”栏目中的自我介绍，有文有图，以便人们认识介绍者；基本的句型为“主语+be动词”结构，用来介绍一个人的姓名、年龄、家乡等信息；连词and也被大量使用用来连接句子。 Teaching goals: 1. Students will be able to ask and answer other people’s personal information, such as names, ages, hometown, etc. . 2. Students will be able to read and find specific information about people. 3. Students will be able to give personal information with simple words and sentences, using conjunction “and” correctly. Students read the introductions of the three students and check the true sentences and correct the false ones on page 4. 3. Students read again and underline the correct words in Activity 3 and then check answers with their partners. 4. Students listen to the recording and read the passage chorally. Then they complete the table about the three students’ information in Activity 4. 5.
