Nick Lee a magician, tries to bring joy to seriously ill children and their families in the hospital. Lee works with the charity (慈善机构) Spread A Smile. It sends a lot of artists, including magicians, into hospitals. The aim is to create memories for families at the hardest of times.
Before he worked with the charity, two members of Lee’s family had been in Great Ormond Street Hospital and had been visited there by Spread A Smile magicians. He says seeing their eyes light up at the magicians was his favorite thing.
Often people who become magicians grow up in families that do magic, but in Lee’s family he is “the first of magicians.” He got his first magic set when he was three, and at 16 he started doing shows. Lee has difficulty in reading, which influences the way a person learns. He says math and English were always difficult, but he thought, “This magic seems to be going well.”
Lee says he learns a lot from the children in hospital when he’s doing magic. “Seeing the children’s courage has given me power,” he says. “I might be having a bad day, but this person is probably having a much worse day than I am, and they’re still smiling.”

简答
阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
Nick Lee, a magician, tries to bring joy to seriously ill children and their families in the hospital. Lee works with the charity (慈善机构) Spread A Smile. It sends a lot of artists, including magicians, into hospitals. The aim is to create memories for families at the hardest of times.
Before he worked with the charity two members of Lee’s family had been in Great Ormond Street Hospital and had been visited there by Spread A Smile magicians.

I’m happy to share my volunteer experience with you.
I participated in a volunteer activity at Changsha County Library on Saturday, 4 May. First, we worked together to organize books on the library shelves. After that, we made colorful bookmarks which would encourage people to read more books. But the most amzing part was reading stories to young kids. I could see in their eyes that they were going on a different journey with each new book. At the end, I shared my favourite book The Little Prince with readers.
This experience gave me a great sense of satisfaction. Our small efforts made a big difference.
