辨 析:alive、live、living:
alive、live、living都有“活的;有生命的”的意思,与dead意义相反。
(1)live通常只作前置定语,且一般用于动物;
(2)alive不仅可作定语,只能置于名词后,也可以作表语;
(3)living不仅可作定语,一般置于名词前,也可以作表语。

拓 展:deaf、dumb、blind、rich、poor等形容词和定冠词the连用,表示一类人。例如:

运 用:It is impolite to stare at strangers. 盯着陌生人看是不礼貌的。

注 意:与look等类似,stare表示“注视……”的时候,要跟介词at连用。

8.notice:v. 看(或听)到;注意到;意识到
运 用:She noticed a marked difference in the children on her second visit.

精 讲:notice 后可接名词、代词或 that/wh- 从句作宾语,还可接不带 to 的不定式或现在分词作宾语补足语,即 notice sb. do sth.(注意到某人做了某事)和 notice sb. doing sth.(注意到某人正在做某事)。
