Regarded as my shining example who was brilliant, ambitious, fearless, and put others at first, Li Shizhen was an extremely well-respected man both in China and abroad. Born on July 3 in 1518 in Hubei, Li was immersed in medicine from childhood with him edified by his family. Facing the severe medical conditions in the country, Li was convinced that he can transform it for better. Li read multiple books and went to a lot of places to find herbs, even testing the medicines himself, just like the legendary Shen Nong.Although there were substantial barriers of technology and knowledge, Li took 27 years to complete the great masterpiece-Compendium of Materia medical through his tireless efforts. Li Shizhen, who died in 1593, is famous for his great contributions to the world medicine. It is Li Shizhen who made the traditional Chinese medicine better than before. Perhaps no other scientist has had a greater impact on China's aerospace science than Qian Xuesen. Described by the authors of the Story of Qian Xuesen as a man with “great scientific thought and scientific spirit" who was patriotic and served his homeland with effort, achievement, and devotion, Qian was an extremely well-respected man. 3. Born in Hangzhou in 1911, Qian attended schools in Beijing and then entered Shanghai Jiao Tong University to study Railway Mechanical Engineering. 4. However, after the Songhu Battle broke out in 1932, Qian made the decision to switch his major to aviation because he realised that China needed its own powerful air force to protect and defend the country. 5. After overcoming some difficulties during his final few years in the US, Qian returned to China in 1955. 6. Under Qian's leadership, China developed the Dongfeng missiles, followed by the first generation of Long March rockets. 7. Because much of the technology behind the Shenzhou rockets can also be traced back to Qian’s research, Qian earned the name of “the father of China's aerospace". 8. What might have made him such an outstanding and creative scientist was probably his strong interest in other things, such as music and drawing. Albert Einstein, who is perhaps the greatest scientist in modern physics, is often considered one of the smartest men who ever lived. E=mc2。 He made numerous contributions to the world, the most well-known being the general theory of relativity and famous formula E=mc²2. 3.1922年,他因解释光电效应而荣获1921年度的诺贝尔物理学奖。 In 1922, he was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect. On 18 April 1955, it was reported that Einstein had passed away, and the whole world mourned the great loss of a brilliant scientist. In 1705, Merian published the book for which she is best known, Metamorphosis of the Insects of Surinam. One naturalist called it “the most beautiful work ever painted in [the] America[s]”. The paintings of insects and plants in their natural habitats revolutionized scientific illustration and advanced the scientific study of insects. 2. Maria Sibylla Merian made great contributions to both the study of insects and the art of painting. In 17th-century Europe, it was unheard of for a woman to travel by herself, but that didn't stop Maria Sibylla Merian. 2. Merian combined both art and science in her work. As a skilled observer, she kept detailed notes. 3. Day after day, they took their painting materials into the hot, humid rainforest to collect and draw insects and plants. Artists had never done such a thing before. It's obvious that Merian was very brave who travelled across the world to study unusual insects. 2. One of her talents was being able to see the beauty in everyday life. 3. She had a clear goal in life--she worked really hard on learning how to draw living insects, which is something that nobody else had done before. Stephen Hawking was famous, not just for his brilliant work in theoretical physics and cosmology, but also for overcoming the challenges of ALS (a disease that affects muscle control ). Although Hawking's physical abilities declined over decades, he never ceased his studies and he developed a number of new ideas about black holes. 2. In spite of his disease, Hawking didn't consider himself an unlucky man. He said it had not prevented him from having a family, and being successful in his work. “ Everything since then has been a bonus.” Stephen Hawking Born in January 1942 in Oxford, England.Stephen Hawking is generally accepted as the greatest scientist of our time. When young, he didn’t study medicine as his father advised him to.Instead,he devoted himself to the study of math and theoretical physics. At the age of 21, he suffered from a kind of disease known as ALS, and his doctor believed he would have only two years to live. It is a great wonder that Hawking has survived. Later he wasn’t able to speak and now he is only able to move two fingers of his left hand. That’s why he was to sit in a wheelchair all the time. In 1988, he made his name known to the world with his book A Brief History of Time. Such is Stephen Hawking, a disabled man with great achievements.
