二、 (2024·时文)阅读理解。
① “Clear and serious.” Those are the words that came from an
audience who watched the film The Volunteers: To the War. The film hit
theaters on September 28th, 2023, to honor the 70th anniversary of the
victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea(抗美援朝战
争).

② The Volunteers: To the War is the first part of the “Volunteers”
trilogy(三部曲). It mainly tells the story of the first and second battles
(战斗) launched by the Chinese People’s Volunteers army into DPRK,
showing the spirit of the volunteers.
③ The film immediately takes the audience into the tense environment
of war right from the opening scene. The film’s director explains to the
audience in a very direct way why we should fight the US and what the
meaning of the war is.

④ At first, the director planned to make only two films. However,
since the war lasted for three years and involved five important battles, two
films would not be enough to cover all of them. In the end, the director and
his team decided to produce a trilogy. With a large production team, they
spent 399 days in fully presenting the war. The trilogy features over 200 key
characters, including both leaders and nameless soldiers.

⑤ The director recalled in an interview that during the filming of some
very intense(激烈的) battle scenes, a gust of wind suddenly blew. “At
that moment, I looked up at the sky and truly felt as if the spirits of the
heroes in heaven were watching us.”

二、 (2024·时文)阅读理解。
① Where can you see auroras(极光)? Iceland? The North Pole?
Actually, in December 2023, sky lovers in cities as south as Beijing could
see them, too. They enjoyed the colored lights in the night sky.
② Auroras come about because of the special activities of the sun. The
sun sends out very small particles(粒子) all the time. But sometimes, it
becomes more active and lets out more. The particles travel in space like the
wind. When they come near the earth, they go around it. This is because the
magnetic field(磁场) of the earth “protects” us from the “wind”.
返回目录
③ At the North and South Poles, however, some particles may get in
and meet with the earth’s air. Then, the particles get “excited” and have a
“dance” with the air. So, we can see the moving auroras in the sky. When
the “wind” is strong enough, the auroras can cover larger areas.
④ While we feel wowed by the beautiful lights, we often ask, “Do
auroras hurt us?” The answer is no. Auroras don’t hurt people’s health.
“But for astronauts in space, they need to use special ways to protect
themselves from auroras,” said Xinhua. For example, they won’t go on
spacewalks when there are “sun storms”.
⑤ Also, the particle storms may stop some satellites(卫星) from
working, so they may bring trouble to the BDS on our smart-phones.
